I love that you changed up the timeline so much but still kept everything close enough to canon that it had the same vibe as series four. Having Rose take on certain quirks of the Doctor like talking to herself and a tendency to babble all while keeping her true to who she was on the show was fantastic. I can't wait to read the rest of this series! I'm especially excited to see how Rose's relationships with the companions play out (specifically River) and how the Doctor will eventually fit back into her life with them. Having her go from companion to companion in just one story really kept things fresh and interesting. My only problem was with Sally's death. I understand you felt it was necessary to show Rose wasn't quite on the Doctor's expert level, but it still hurt. |
