Hahahahaha... that was a brilliant ending to a brilliant story. You captured Walter's personality perfectly. I can completely see him taking the serious approach when suggesting they take their relationship to the next level. And Paige knows him so well - accepting all his quirks and not being afraid to laugh. Ralph is perfection and he totally knows what "hanging pictures" means. Hehehehe. This was a great start to my day. Thanks and keep up the great writing.

Aw, this was so sweet. I'm totally always here for nervous Walter, like I am completely convinced that that's how he would be. And I love how they both realize him staying the night at her place is a big step, and I love how they want to be able to savor it and take their time since they didn't have to go anywhere.

Then I loved the ending, and how Ralph had the same confusion that Walter did. Paige is probably going "oh god now I have two." Haha this was great, Heidi.

WeBuiltThePyramids was kind enough to give me several recommendations to start reading now that I'm able again and you were at the top of the list. I see I missed quite a few stories from you but rather than start with the oldest - I decided to start with the most recent and I'm so glad I did. I LOVE the premise of this. Walter's reaction once he realized what was happening on the other side of the wall was brilliant. He is so lovably clueless sometimes. And Paige's patience with him virtually makes her a saint...lol I love how intuitive Ralph is and I'm glad Walter was honest with him. I can't wait to see how Walter and Paige deal with the "elephant in the room" now that his feelings are out there. Great start and look forward to seeing where you take this... and reading more of your stories.

seriously I'm so excited you're finally posting this and golly it is better than I'd imagined it would be - and you already know I had high expectations!

I love the beginning, how they just have fallen into this familial routine, and how her seeing Tim at the same time distresses and confuses him. And I love him thinking inappropriate thoughts about her on the couch, but it's more of a love, a sensual type thing rather than Walter just being horny. And then of course all the confusion over the strange noise next door! Even though I knew where this was going, I still howled.

Also, nice reference in the title there!
