Not another 'poor under-appreciated Tony' story.

Holy shit... this is the first time I’ve ever seen McGee characterized like this and I am HERE for it! Not just feeling bad about not being a better friend but actively having a spine and speaking up for what’s right. I’m loving this story so far (even if I’m disappointed you’re going to do Gibbs/Tony- I’m usually for that pairing but you’ve set up the story so well to make me hate Gibbs here)!

WOAH! That was an INTENSE story, but soooooo good! The emotions were dark and difficult, but I enjoyed the complex story that you wove. Thank you!

I liked this ending. One would always like things to go back as they were, but the damage doesn't allow that. And there's no denying how much damage Gibbs can do when he gets on a tear, nor how much Tony can continue to do to himself staying with the team. Reference was quickly made and just as quickly forgotten on the show as to Tony joining a support group. Gibbs would be damned before he ever attempted to get over himself and understand what an emotional bully he is, has always been. It would take something this visceral to open his mind even a smidgen.

Sadly, I have a feeling that this is how it ended between the actors, too, but that's another story altogether. I just discovered this one of yours,, and though it's thoroughly triggering, it's also painfully right on target. I can't wait to see the rest of the journey you have in store! Finally had time to read this...
Interesting premise - after the crap finale we got for MW/TD, I've enjoyed the various takes Tony fans have had on how it could have been when they wrote him off.

Couple of things - DC Vice is not a federal agency so Tony and his team would not have been agents. Also given Tony's history with the CIA (kort, frog etc) can't see him working for them and can't see them based out of Michigan since, like Mossad, the CIA can't operate on their home soil.
