Anon19740 chapter 1 . 4/1
I remember reading this so long ago and spent forever trying to find it again, just have and remember how good it was
Enchanted Vixen chapter 27 . 9/25/2019
This was sooo good! I got a great kick out of how you crafted the dragons. Human Toothless is not especially well managed by most other authors, but your versions of him are always fantastic- especially here where elements of his canon personality were so fitting as a mysterious and dangerous Dragon member.

Astrid was written to perfection as well, the right balance of bond-esque babe and agent strength, without the usual pitfalls. The bit where the allies got to wear their Viking garb was so fun to read, having everyone see her as the powerhouse she is and not only as a pretty trainer. Though Fishlegs talking about selfies with visitors was adorable.

Oh my goodness Hiccup...he was my favourite character here. The use of his aptitudes made for a very engaging read, especially with him not being written as a trope spy character. He made his way without the sleaze (excepting the oogle at Cami), he had Hiccup strengths that brought fun and intrigue all on his own. Poor guy may have some serious trauma to his brain with all of the knockouts and subsequent tough wake-ups, but that would be a part of the active agent lifestyle.

Hope the Never Die Twice was more than a typical Bond closing. I would definitely read a sequel for this.
Ghost in the Machine chapter 27 . 7/4/2019
Almost abandoned this after chapter 6. Too much pounding on Hiccup for it to be plausible for him to just... keep... taking it. Glad that I didn’t. Off to read the next one.
Sian HTTYD fan chapter 27 . 4/23/2019
Read this story for a second time this week. It’s so good! I can’t wait for you to begin the sequel!
... well I can. Just! As I’m also enjoying all your other ongoing worksBut still, looking forward to it xx
Vivi-ntvg chapter 27 . 2/11/2019
Well, this was a very enjoyable story, though poor Hiccup went through quite a lot... which is par for the course in your fics, lol. Looking forward to the sequel!
Guest chapter 23 . 7/12/2018
Stoick should be fired. There is no way they would let someone that stupid, prejudiced, and incompetent lead an intelligence agency.
Let's start with kicking Hiccup and Astrid put of acting service because they prevented HQ being blown up. Was there really no evidence of Snotlout's tampering? He just took his word for it and dismissed whatever Hiccup and Astrid had to say. Not only that, but despite keeping them employed in the agency, he refused to even allow them to take the tests again. So long as they didn't need to stop another muttonhead blowing up the building, they definitely would have passed.
Next, let's look at the disbelieving a message from his top agent just because of who received that message. Stupid. And I also have to wonder what would have happened if he did believe It? With Alvin clearly making a move, would AI6 be put on a security alert? If they were, I doubt that bomb would have made it through security. If that's the case, then Stoick is responsible for the deaths of over a thousand people. That's about as bad as it gets.
Then he completely dismissed the best agents he had, despite having proved themselves in the field and bringing him every piece of Intel he had that wasn't given to him by a traitor. He was ridiculously short on manpower, and he ditched the rest.
Next he allowed Heather to remain free instead of arresting her immediately. He said they would be playing her, but he clearly didn't follow through on hos word, since she not only had free run of the place, but managed to get an insanely powerful bomb into the area. So yeah, Stoick is incompetent and should be fired immediately.
Spitelout should also be fired. He broke every rule there was to get his son I'm the service and promoted way past his ability, and dismissed Hiccup's completely valid weapons score, just because it was good. And I'm guessing when Snotlout almost blew up HQ, HE TOLDX Stoick that Hiccup and Astrid were responsible, and let Snotlout off without even a warning. So yeah, fire him, and make sure all his future employers know about what a liar he is, so he can't work anywhere that's actually important.
Next, Mildew really needs to be fired. He let a bomb be sent right into the building, and should definitely be held responsible for all those deaths. He also prevented Hiccup from getting a service apartment, despite every other agent in the service getting one. And let's not forget he allowed Heather into the service, despite her obvious family connections. Fire him, and maybe arrest him as well.
And finally, we get to Snotlout, who cheated his way through the tests, nearly blowing up the building in the process, and has probably the worst abilities in the service, so there's no reason to keep him around. No loss whatsoever. He also told Alvin's men that he was an agent and working with a partner, which of course is why everything went to Hell in the first place. If they hadn't caught Eret, the service would have known what Alvin was planning. He wasn't even needed to keep those men distracted. Eret could have lifted the key card and done everything before they realized it. They were at a bar, they wouldn't have gone back to work until the next day. Then Snotlout told Alvin who Hiccup was, which was why Alvin bombed AI6. Snotlout is definitely to blame for that. And of course why would AI6 employ someone who sits around in an unlocked cell for half a day? He also knows nothing about covert surveillance. Why exactly was he told to follow the twins anyway? Why didn't Stoick look at the footage to see what happened to HQ? Next, Snotlout blew Hiccup and Astrid's cover, getting them captured. He did nothing but help the enemy the whole time. I say fire him, and arrest him so he can't cause anymore damage.
The only reason I can see for these idiots staying in the service is because they've lost too mnany agents as it is. Still doesn't seem like a good enough reason.
Stoick is really easy to hate in this one. Weirdly, I kind of like seeing bastard Stoick. Puts Hiccup in even more of a struggle.
I'd really like to see a sequel to this. I would think that these people would at the very least be under extreme scrutiny so they can't operate freely anymore.
Guest chapter 20 . 7/12/2018
Stoick the Vastly Prejudiced. I like it.
Guest chapter 27 . 6/24/2018
The part where Hiccup woke up with his head on Astrid's chest was hilarious! You'd think he'd be more worried about the guy with a gun, but nope! All he could think about was what Astrid would do to him when she woke up! Toothless seems to have a sense of humor.
I'd definitely like to see a sequel! Next time, stuff Hiccup and Astrid in the trunk of a car!
DayDreamer-BleachLover chapter 27 . 6/12/2018
I binge-read this..I loved it! I'm no Bond fan but it reminded me a bit of Kingsmen - Hiccup style ;)
Can't wait for the sequel and whatever adventures you have in store!
-DD
Guest chapter 27 . 6/10/2018
I really want to see a sequel to this! And something I've been wondering about is how do they know Valka is dead? They never found her body, after all.
It sounds like Hiccup is going to be busy at AI6. He's the weapons instructor, has his old job in the Q department, and is an active field agent. I sure hope they gave him a raise!
De Amicus chapter 27 . 5/1/2018
Great story, you definitly captured the Bond theme. The only criticism I can come up with is the gun terminology and/or stats, some of those were... wrong. I'd be happy to help with that if you want, but it's just as valid if you want to go full AU from reality. Looking forward to reading your next one!
fs440 chapter 27 . 12/30/2017
So excited to see you are planning a sequel! (I was going to sugest one!) It will be fun to have Hiccup's character be more respected!
Keep up the good work!
Devious Purrloin chapter 25 . 11/9/2017
Do you ever go back to your finished stories and read them over? Because there are a lot of spelling and grammar mistakes that could easily be fixed.
Guest chapter 15 . 11/3/2017
Typical Land Rover, getting stuck in a ditch and not having a winch to get it out. Astrid isn't as smart as she thinks, if she knew anything about off-roading, she would have stolen a Jeep!
Seriously though, great story! I would love to see a sequel!
FlameDragon14 chapter 20 . 10/17/2017
First I want to say I've been reading through everyone of your stories thus far, and those I haven't read yet I plan to do so soon. I have honestly been enjoying your stories but there is something I need to ask. Where is Stormfly? Hiccup always has some connection to Toothless, and we've seen Fishlegs usually having some connection to Meatlug, but the other dragons don't seem to show up as much.

As an example, in this story we see Toothless, Hookfang and Meatlug, with the Zippleback being mentioned as a bomb and a Nadder as a gun or guard. No direct Barf & Belch, or Stormfly has shown up yet. Honestly I was kind of expecting to find Stormfly as the Dragon teams sharpshooter or sniper or something, but haven't seen hide nor scale of the Deadly Nadder.

I just wonder if she's going to show up or not as I'm curious as to how you would portray her and how she would interact with Astrid, Hiccup and the others.
