Nice story overall and I enjoyed it. However, I think it's a bit OOC for Newt, he seems why, yes, but he seems a little bold and out there with his words too and the word choice wasn't like Newt in my opinion. I don't want to be rude, I really don't because I would hate it if someone did it to me.
I simply want to provide some critique to help you improve.
I think that your writing skills are fantastic and impressive, you just need to work on speech pattern which I know is so hard with Newt because I've written a NewtxTina fanfic before and it's been so hard. I'm actually reading this for inspiration on the next chapter. I need to work on speech pattern myself but the more you practice, the easier it is.
I like the general concept and ending and everything with the story, I just think it should have been more subtle and stuff.
To be honest, everything I'm saying could be irrelevant because it's fanfiction and it's whatever you want to happen and I really like this for that reason but if you want to make them more On character that's what I'm saying. Not that you have to. Not that you should. Just that you could.

I do have a suggestion, which I don't think ive seen anyone write about yet.

Perhaps you could do a short story about Newt's reaction to getting put on a chocolate frog card, but maybe Tina doesn't know what they are, because maybe they don't have chocolate frogs in USA. I think that would be quite funny to see!
