I’m dying, what’s going to happen?! What are the ramifications?! Future Emotional upheaval?! This chapter hurts my heart! And my brain. Yuuko please set these idiots straight. Clow, please use those brains and plwer you’re known for, even if you’re in too much pain to be rational! I’m so into this pairing someone save me. I’ve fallen into a pit and cannot get out. I’ve read the whole thing and am re-reading all my favourite chapters, especially this one, and one of my favourite parts is the throwaway mention of Syaoran not mentioning the political machinations and such(world-building! Protective Syaoran! Love! Good intentions not always best!). I digress, the point is, I love this chapter, I love how you made it so realistic with Clow’s fears and plans and turned it into something that I immediately fell into, how believable you made his desperation. [Speaking of power, and insanity, there’s a story called Her Kingdom as Great by Marbleglove on ao3, a Labyrinth story. I don’t know if you know that fandom but maybe you’d be interested. ] You just made Clow’s love so possible and I love this so much.
