VERY good chapter
i dont think it would be an exaggeration to say that this story is the best recent story for the elder scrolls skyrim and when done among the best completed ones, i say this as somebody who read an obscene amount of stories , both elder scrolls and otherwise, and i have seen bothe some of the best and worst stories and this definitely falls into the upper half of best stories onsite.
that said, i appreciated the detail of her wetting the grindstone. it always bugs me ingame

ive had it in the background for ages, with notifications popping up occasionally, and now that ive reread what i already read and read whats new, its more than worth it, that said i just really hope that you wont have a pairin with ulfric and nariilu, it would just be muvh too clichee and not fit in, with the story
asfor gamefacts id like to poit out that ulfric doesn't hate dunmer, its possible too talk to people telling you that ulfric didn't listen to the people in letting them in, and was later forced to consign them to the grey quarter

Yup, this is awesome. Easily the best Skyrim fiction I've read so far (a total of two stories, yay!). Nariilu is probably one of the most interesting characters that I've ever seen, and having her want to be Empress? Now THAT I can get behind. Talk about ambition!

I love the 'funeral' for Ancano. I've had a rough day, and that managed to make me laugh out loud :P

Also Ulfric's pathetic attempt at cleaning, lol

Savos Aren is right, in my opinion: Instead of doing the easiest method, look at every alternative to see what can be attempted.

Great chapter! I love it when she said: "Aren't Bard tales the cornerstone of Nordic culture?" It was a good excuse to sing, I do not understand why it did not work...
I like the personality of the dovahkiin, and also she is magician, i love that :)
