Another great read and I can't to see what happens next now that Cipher is now starting to reign destruction upon Malie City. I'm both surprised and impressed Borlath went through that whole conversation with Lillie without once mentioning her mother by name. I also wonder if we'll see any flashbacks regarding Roran's past down the line, because surely there's no way he was born to be a cannibalistic monster lol. Also glad to see more Demi and Gladion/Team Skull stuff. I knew Sun was gonna get an Alolan Geodude which is pretty cool I guess. I like how Alastor downright hates humans which I think will be fun to see him interact with his new teammates and Sun. I'm curious to see how Sun will eventually get Golem, since Golem is regularly a trade evolution. Only got 2 questions to ask this time:

1) Since its was previously established that Laura's Meowth is the son of her starter Persian, does that mean Damien is the father? Houndoom and Persian are in the same group after all ;)

2) Do you plan to include any of the other prominent Cipher figures from the games such as Gorigan or Ein?. I know that Naps showed up during the Royal Avenue arc and the Hexagon Brothers got mentioned as well so this is just something I was wondering. I never actually played Colosseum and GoD since I don't own a GameCube so I wouldn't really care if any more did show up.

Alolan Geodude was always an interesting type of Pokémon to me. Hopefully, Sun will make good use of him. As soon as he earns his trust of course.
Finally, the fight against Roran begins...well, next chapter. But he’s finally gonna get it!

I quite liked the idea for Alolan Geodude as a team member, and I’m interested to see how you write battles and strategies for a Pokémon that gets less mobile as it evolves. I half expected the Fossil Man to be selling drugged up Nature Mints or something in that camper lol.

1)An Alolan Geodude. Not the Pokémon I was expecting but he should caught a Region Variant anyway. I hope that Sun's next Pokémon is a female so Penny would have a female Pokémon friend.

2)Damien shouldn't have followed his Trainers blindly. Houndoom's naturally protect the pack, their family. Because of that he is a disgrace to his kind. He doesn't even deserve those horns.

3)I hope that in this story Oliver will evolve, and he will get the power that I spoke about with you in PM.

4)I'm very certain that the world wouldn't accept Borlath's demands, even if it comes from the Pokémon league. The damage Borlath made is too great that words and power will not change anything. Just like Lillie and Sun, they will all stand up against the one who made all the wrong choices.

In all honesty, I could kinda see Demi just randomly bumping into a Cubone and catching it. But that probably wouldn’t fit into the storyline you’ve already established. Anyways, now that Sun caught Alastor (that is a terrible omen for a name... Hazel is Nightmare Fuel), I have a question. For the purposes of Radiant Sun, what exactly are the mechanics of Self Destruct and Explosion? Can they actually kill the user, or is it just knockout like in the games?

I used the totem Araquanid that you can get from Oak in my Ultra Moon playthrough, I wonder if Sun will too in the story.

I'm feeling worried that they will capture Amber and not kill her, leading to a ridiculous Batman and Joker like situation where she breaks out and commits mass murder repeatedly but they never escalate and kill her to put an end to it.

Oh man, oh man, oh man. Once again, you've pretty much knocked it out of the park, like wow.
Okay, to start with the flashback was interesting as always. It's nice to learn a little more of Ashton and seeing more of that inner darkness as he moves forward. Seems his reputation has been good these days.
As for the meeting with the Pokémon league went even better than I could've imagined. Ashton's character shines through here as he manages to be equally terrifying and reasonable all at once. I adore the conflicting atmosphere here that "You're a scumbag, but you're a scumbag with a point here." Of course, then there's Doran going around and doing his thing and to say that his appearance wasn't downright chilling would be a lie. He's doing so well in this story and I really love reading him. Everybody was just great here.
Lusamine was wonderful in this chapter here too. I loved her interactions with Guzma and Sun and how she always seems to be one step ahead with a plan. It's cool seeing her so cunning and calculating. Always one step ahead.
Guzma especially was a real joy to read. The fucking Team Skull Crab Rave killed me and the whole thing with the Galarian mon was really sweet. Dynamic characters like Guzma are always great from you since you're just great at giving them multiple facets to their personalities.
Colress was interesting as well, seeing him deal with emotions like this. Loss is strong with him and I'm happy that he's got friends to help him figure things out.
Vivian and Anomaly also make me very happy to read and I'm glad that Anomaly has a friend in her.
And Zinnia was wonderful here too. From her talk with Oliver to the rejection of Zygarde, she was a gift.
Speaking of, I was just as surprised as Zygarde there and loved his reaction. It was priceless.
Great stuff all around here. Other things that I enjoyed was the little bit of Leon and how he's doing a good job. Lol. If only he knew. And Rotom being a sellout.
I am so excited for what happens next. Good job as always, man.

To start with, seeing a bit of an older and experienced Ashton was interesting. Reading through his character is always a joy and this is an interesting look. Seeing him take down those assholes also gave us a little bit of a look at his darker tendencies at a younger age which I liked a lot.
The battle between Sun and Guzma was amazing too and like always, had me on the edge of my seat throughout. I definitely look forward to their rematch.
I also got a good laugh out of the Masked Royal mask. Hahaha.
And oh man... The ending, I am very much looking forward to this meeting. He really did keep his end of the bargain with Sun.
I'm excited. Great work!

Another flat out amazing chapter.
To start with, oh man... Reading that flashback was so good. It's always fun to get a look into the past for these characters but seeing Ashton so vulnerable is definitely a sight to behold. It brings a lot of perspective into it. Seeing the horrible things the Ruby Raiders did and all just makes it all the better.
Seeing everything go down with the Roran reveal was amazing and the entirety of it had me on the edge of my seat. When he said exactly where Sun was, it made my blood run cold. There was so much that could be said about both characters and their writing it was just great.
And finally, seeing Sun and Lillie reunite was adorable. I'm happy to see these kids together any chance we get, they're wonderful.
And the battle with Guzma is gonna be fun.
Great as always, cannot wait for more!

Fuck. That was nothing short of incredible.
To start with, the totem battle was very well written and I very much enjoyed every bit of it. Oliver and Brago were all stars and I loved watching them fight.
Additionally, I'm curious as to what's going down on this island. The possibility of Heatran sounds interesting.
And I also really enjoyed the gathering of the leagues. Seeing Leon be flustered over Sonia was adorable and I liked the little bits of Chairman Rose both with him relating to Borlath. If I didn't know any better I would guess that this is a backdoor pilot for a Galar story. ;)
And oh man. Everything involving Mask went completely off the rails and I was just in awe of all of it. I think it was as Lusamine made the comment that "You're supposed to be dead" where I was just kinda like "Fuck, no way!" and to see those suspicions confirmed, damn. Definitely one of the major highlights of this story. Like, damn. You were absolutely brutal here and I adored it.

Oh man, another great one.
To start with, the robbery scene was super intense and had me on the edge of my seat. Even if I knew Ash, Lusamine and Mohn would make it out okay, you definitely got me. Especially when she got shot, like damn. Still it is fun to see more of Champion Protector Lusamine in this story, I love that. Makes it even more sad with how much she has changed. Same goes with Ash too. Heroes have fallen hard and have become unimaginable evils these days.
Speaking of, that call with Ashton. Hot damn. That was a wave of emotions I wasn't quite ready for. I just adore the how the two are characterized here. Seeing Ashton like this is both heartwarming and heartbreaking all at once, there is genuine care for Sun here that makes him such a compelling character. The sincerity despite all his twisted intentions is so wonderful and honestly, as a writer this is one of those scenes that I especially feel that there's a lot to learn from his character. Sun on the other hand, the pure agony in this kid over all of it. You can so clearly read his heart being tugged in all sorts of different directions with all of this and I absolutely loved it. This poor kid, I want him to be happy but all of this, oh man. I just love the ever complicated relationship you've got going on with these two, it's insane and I absolutely adore it. Sun and Ashton's relationship is honestly the strongest character writing I've seen both on this site and honestly arguably some of the best I've read ever. It's just so good and seeing them deal with one another is just such a treat.
As for the rest meeting both Molayne and Sophocles was fun and I enjoyed the trial.
The trial was fun too and I especially got great laughs out of Oliver and Zinnia with their antics. "It's a Pikachu!" killed me haha.

Amazing work with this one, oh man it was a bit of a rollercoaster.
To start with, the talk between Lusamine and Roran was interesting. I know we learned a decent bit of how things ended for this character but I'm quite pleasantly surprised to be reading him quite a bit. I really like the way you give off his supposedly calm and collected composure only to reveal the real danger that he is. It's pretty cool and you do it so well.
Seeing what happened between Gladion and Demi here? Oh man, that was tough. I'm worried for their relationship in this regard as I'm sure things are gonna get worse between them before they get better but God, I really hope Demi will be able to help him. I feel like I should've known with Gladion but it still came as a surprise to me. The kid has been through a lot and I hope for the best with him.
As for things at the library, seeing Anomaly again is always as creepy as one would expect but they're definitely a joy to read.
Sun and Lillie and all that fluff were especially adorable and I can't help but love them. Still, the slight tension with the Aether Paradise and Lusamine was especially neat. I really love their relationship and how they care for each other so much. I'll be waiting patiently for when Lillie does eventually open up about everything to him. Oh yeah, and Hau was hilarious.
Ollie was really nice here too and it's always good to see him. Got some good laughs out of him which I very much appreciate.
And then of course there was meeting Ano. Damn, that got me good. I'll admit, I really loved the build up with this scene, making everything seem calm in the way you did but then noticing that something isn't quite right. And then his name. You're so hardcore with this kid though, Sun just kinda let it happen. Like, damn. Ano is an abusive asshole but now the fact that he would go as far as to attack Sun makes me wanna know even more about that story.
And of course the ending with Ash revealing his scars? That was done beautifully and I absolutely loved how it was handled. The reveal gave me chills especially with how he reacted. The flickering emotions, the little bit of betrayal and the fact that he kinda thought they'd abandon him because of this. Ash didn't deserve that kind of pain and I'm glad he had Mohn and Lusamine to be there for him.
Great chapter. Can't wait for more.
