This was much better than I expected at first glance- you had my heart in my mouth and beating so fast. Renewed love for Jacob and pity for Newt. EXCELLENT writing on this first chapter!

Honestly I’m so invested in this story and I don’t know why.
This fic is written so smoothly, so naturally that when I was reading it, it hardly felt like reading at all! It felt like I was watching the scene fill out from the perspective of the character as if I lived it all out in memory.
You managed to put me into the shoes of Jacob Kowalski so well that I felt what he felt and saw what he saw and heard what he heard.
By the end of it all, my eyes misted when he had to be obliviated and I felt the shock and feeling of “is this it?” When he wasn’t and the giddy, shy happiness when newt finally showed up and at last the tears come back when I read New Artemis Fido Claude Scamander and just like Jacob I read it over and over again to see that it was there.
Honestly the story is so moving! I had no idea where this was going and I am so happy with how it ended and the fact that I got to read it to the end (over a period of 3 unstoppable days of course)
I really have no words to describe how moved I am with this piece. This fic is surely at the highest ranking of all my reading experiences.
I am /thanking you/ for making this and posting it and letting me read it.
I love this fic to no bounds and I hope to read more from you again!

AH! WHAT A GREAT EPILOGUE! Oh my GOSH I can't even tell you - I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW MUCH I APPRECIATE THIS! I was grinning while reading the whole thing. Graves adopting the Barebone kids and raising them, Queenie working at the bakery with Jacob, Theseus secretly keeping up with him (AND THAT SCENE WHERE HE DIDN'T OBLIVIATE HIM - PRECIOUS!)... and Newt.

Oh, Newt. The relationship you built between Newt and Jacob is such a carefully crafted, familial, mutual, masculine, platonic, protective, loving thing... I find it hard to even describe, but the word "brother" really does suit their role toward each other. They have such a perfect and intricate relationship. I can see the way you built it up, but it was so hard to see what it looked like from Newt's perspective before these last two chapters since he was, well... kinda out of it lol. I wish I could put it into better words, but essentially I just think the way you depicted the bond they came to share is like my favorite thing right now.

Also, the way Newt adopted the name Claude into his already clunky name... oh gosh, I love it. And your portrayal of his flighty quirks and shyness, his lack of eye contact... ugh, I feel like I could read about that all day, LOL.

Top notch story. I love the writing style, the creativity, the plot, the character depiction, the morals, the love, the relationships... It was just a complete pleasure to read. Thank you for putting this into the world! I'm SO glad I found it!
