That was fantastic. I'll definitely be re-reading this multiple times just for the jokes. I lost count of the number of times I laughed out loud. And the way you've written their relationship is so realistic and healthy. Too often ABO fic comes off creepy and sexist, and this not only avoids that but also addresses it with the harassment Dean has to face and how much it outrages Cas. I really love how you portrayed Dean as very masculine despite being an omega. I've noticed that some ABO stories actually refer to male omegas as wives which I think stems from some very harmful real world stereotypes about gay men and bugs me tremendously. Yeah, I could go on and on about all the reasons I love this story. All in all, thank you for writing this and sharing it. I have found a new favorite story )

Even Dean's internal dialogue sounds like him. And Meg is right that Cas is not that innocent. He knows exactly what he said.

Let me just say, I've read this fic four times now and I absolutely love it. You obviously know you're stuff when it comes to therapy and I love that you showed the depth of that and how it reflected in Dean's character development, no matter how grumpy he was along the way. It actually encouraged me to get my own shit together (which I think is working). I love the balance between independent plot and A/B/O plotting too, it's easy to go way overboard into the A/B/O dynamic, but this was really well balanced. It was natural and realistic, and I really appreciate that. The characters were also so consistent and accurate, oh my god. Like Cas's stoicism was present, even though he learned how to loosen up and accept the things he couldn't change, and Dean always dorky and himself throughout his journey to take care of himself and love himself. The meaning behind this fic is really inspiring. We should all put some time and care into ourselves without losing sight of who we are, and realize that we are enough. Like that line in chapter eleven when Castiel asks Dean, "And what do you think I believe you are?" and Dean replies with, "Enough." Thank you very much for writing this and dealing with this long review!

This is so cute and awesome and I loved how different it was to other fics I’ve read. I mean that people don’t usually get into how people actually do get depressed like that and begin to hate themselves. It was written so well and I loved it. Please keep up with the amazing work

Fantastic story, beautifully written!

I’d make this a PM, but in this case, I thought it might be better to do it publicly. If you haven’t read any Alpha/Beta/Omega fanfic before, I feel pretty special to be the first you’ve seen! There’s a basic rundown herewiki/Alpha/Beta/Omega Mind, mine isn’t anything like some of it; a lot of A/B/O is heavy on the porn, with some pretty frankly disturbing non-con overtones (omegas going into “heat” and being unable to stop themselves from needing sex, alphas just smelling an omega and taking them without asking, etc.). This is not that. This is simply a take on those secondary genders as a part of human physiology, playing out how they affect (and don’t affect) the characters in a world that involves that biological aspect of development. Dean is still Dean, no matter what.

What the hell is going on? Why is everyone smelling each other? What the hell is an alpha or a beta? I'm so friggin confused.
