i'm glad orochimaru isn't her sensei. after he turned up i feared he would be, though the first thought i had was that hiro will probably end up at the wrong end of orichinarus scalpel in the future. and root. urgh. enough said.
love the ino-shika-cho. but i'm starting to greatly dislike daiki, he is so... emotional and unrealistic, like he wants to see what's not there and forcefully press kosu into a role that isn't fit for her. i hope kakashi will get better soon, so there will be an epic friendship between kosu and him, i thought as he had kosu he would be better off than in canon, but it doesn't seem that way. and i'm always sad when sakumo dies.

every single little aspect and detail of this fic was amazing and i'm devastated to see it seemingly abandoned. hopefully someday when you have the time and inspiration you'll come back to continue this masterpiece

her new technique and the tattoos are so cool, i love the way you designed your main character so much and i would love to read more about how she'd be as an adult but i'm so sad this story is coming to and end bc it seems like you've stopped updating

you've written such an amazing story.

first, you've made kosu into the female character that most writers creating strong women aspire to create. she has layers that we see throughout the fic is constantly questioned and evolving. she's mentally and physically tough without falling into the shoes of a Mary-Sue. and she is continuously growing.

second, the little hints and clues you leave us in previous chapters that leads to bigger moments along the way is something out of a published book. the snippets of the ino-shika-cho team that brought us to this awesome chapter, the moment with hiroki when Kosu returned from the overnight hunting trip which lead to her separation with hiro, and I'm sure something fishy is happening with Orochimaru.

third, as others have said, the relationship between kakashi and kosu is developing organically. we can see the little moments where perception of each other is changing and evolving. we can see the friendship grow from nothing and the care for one another arise.

anyway, just here to say that this fic is awesome. I'm surprised I haven't read this sooner but I'm glad I stumbled across it when I thought I had suddenly read all the good fics in this fandom. I've followed and favorited you and this story and will wait years if I have to just to read the next chapter.

Oh man, I just binged this tonight and I am just beside myself over how good this fic is?
The way you've written and developed Kosu is wonderful. At first I was worried she'd be similar to some other OCs I've seen written (cold, uncaring, super elitist and just...doesn't develop much attachment to any of the characters?), but I love her so much. Her relationship with Mito was so endearing and I actually teared up while reading her turmoil after Mito's passing. As someone who's also been present when a loved one passes, the way you wrote her reaction to it all was incredibly realistic and I appreciated it very much. You've written her in a very multifaceted way that I love, love, love.
Also her pretending to be a boy was a really neat little thing. It highlights how much emphasis she puts on giving herself every possible advantage to survive and protect Hiro. My bisexual ass also loves it because I feel like seeing Kakashi grapple with the realization that she's a girl is going to be entertaining as all hell. Especially since I feel like (maybe? mmmmaybe?) he's already taken a liking to her as he knows her. I could be reading too much into it, but meh.
And the glimpses of Orochimaru at the orphanage! The Snake Sannin needs to get away from our sweet boy Hiro.

I really hope you update this again at some point. It's clear you put a lot of thought and care into this fic, and I'd love to see where it goes and how it develops. And I'd love to see Kakashi and Kosu's reactions later on when their feelings start to blossom and they have to actually acknowledge and deal with it. Thank you so much for this story!

I hope that you’ll update the story soon! It’s such a good fanfic and it’s different from the normal OC insert I read! It’s a really original story and keep up the good work, because I am eager to read more about Kosu’s adventure!
