When I read about the “traveling alone” request, my mind instantly said sketchy. Please continue!

This reminds me a little of a story I had in my head a long time ago. I'm enjoying where you're going with this! Your character's personalities really shine through. I'm interested in seeing what happens next. :)

the whole 'you can only travel to my kingdom if you come alone' business was so weird. In the beginning, I kind of got the debacle on Link not being allowed to share a bedroom with her. "Purity" was considered very important in any monarchy, and probably even in the world of Zelda her sharing a room with Link would be 'improper.' I was willing to overlook that and still have hope that Ananias might turn out to be a decent person. And then this happens...
I'm really enjoying the story so far. I think you have very good pacing when it comes to your writing. I never got bored or disinterested. I love the dynamic Link and Zelda have, all teasing and friendly. Side note: Ananias is a creepy asshole. He's really stupid too - he completely overlooked Link and released him because he's not 'noble born.' I'm guessing Ananias will be regretting that decision in later chapters. Update when you can!

i dont usually leave reviews, but i had to for this story! i was on the edge of my seat the whole time, i am loving where this is going! i love the dynamic between link and zelda as well. i can sense their close friendship but you can def tell there's something else there without it being too overbearing. also, some reviewers seem to not have read your first author's note... i understand that link getting injured had to happen in order for the story to progress. he is the only thing that would've made zelda agree to the prospect of marriage, after all! keep doing what you're doing (write your story the way you want to), it's great so far!

*sigh. link can kill the calamity ganon that desimated an entire country. but he can't fight against a few measly humans. oh well, I guess he is a bit out of practice.

I loved your very first author note and I wish more people took that into account. I saw a few reviewers that seemed a bit snotty, but fanfiction doesn't have to follow canon perfectly. That being said, you're doing a great job and this has been entertaining to read!

I don't get it? Why is Link so weak? Calamity would've been harder to beat than guards. I guess this means war against Charleston. Hyrule is going to be so angry when they find out.

Hmm. Link of BotW fought against overwhelming odds, up to and including an army of Guardians. The only thing they had on him were numbers, on the order of one hundred to one at any given time.

I find it difficult to accept that he was overwhelmed by a simple four guards, but I'll acknowledge that it's not *impossible*. I'm actually quite interested in seeing how they'll get out of this mess.

Ughhh, can't help it but really, Ananias? That's literally one latter away from pineaple in french, so to take him seriously, hum, not gonna happen. And come on, 4 guars subduing Link? I mean he technically never fought humans opponents but Yiga in game, but come on, 4?

Why didn't link use any of the abilities he gained from the champions? Wouldn't him using daruks' ability allow him to lead him and Zelda to safety by simply moving to where link wants to go?

So glad you updated! That King is a snob. I hope Zelda leaves as soon as possible. You think that Link could get more respect. I would like them to return to Hyrule and then maybe the King could get a taste of his own medicine when he visits there. Keep it up, love it.
