This story offers a really good read. It achieved something uncommon compare to many Harry Potter fan fictions. It reads and feels like a Harry Potter book (albeit grittier and even more gut-wrenching.) There is no special super-powered abilities (although those could be fun as well), no unrealistic relationship development, all the story elements progressed very naturally. It is a treat!

The Champion's Legacy is even better now the foundation has been set. Long have I come across quality 4th, 5th year Hogwarts Haphne stories, make me dearly wish for 6th and 7th year.

Some interesting concepts, but for the most part this is a dull canon rehash with exaggerated and unrealistic house politics. I'm dropping this thing.

So... Albus got to throw his version of "Sausage Party", letting each of the three males search for their 'what they would miss the most', their closest MALE friends. Only a poofter like that could think Iris, Daphne, and Hermione were less worthy.

The other three contestants are NOT 'fully qualified, just because they are seventeen. The foreigners have this whole school year before their NEWT tests. Warrington has TWO years to complete. He is basically just one year ahead of Harry, and has at least had his OWLs behind him.

And just WHO is taking all these bets?! Everyone cannot bet each other (duh) that Potter will lose, die, or be hurt, maimed, incinerated, whatever. SOMEONE has to take the bets... basically being on the side that, well, 'no, he won't' die, etc..
What is there, ten fourth year Slytherins? If Daphne had any guts, she would take each one of those bets and ten Galleons off each of her classmates.

The school champion, already seventeen as a sixth year, and chosen above all sixth AND seventh years, also huge, rumored of 'troll blood' he is so large, can't levitate Harry and or conjure a stretcher?! He could probably throw Harry over one shoulder and Daphne over the other, and still descend the steps one floor. (isn't the Hospital wing on the second floor and Transfiguration on three? maybe not. it's been a while since I looked) Still, even two floors. Big dude, small boy, petite girl.

(I'm face-palming here) Only forty students in Harry's year, he has classes with all of them here and there, and he DOESN'T KNOW THEIR NAMES?! I graduated in a class of 130, and I knew everyone's name. Not just me but EVERYONE knew everyone's names! How could he not know the names of students he has been in class with for over three years now? I have seen several authors do this, and it's one of the most inane, ludicrous tropes done... ever.

I can't read this. You are using single quotes for speech. You should use double quotes. is an American site, with majority of readers being American, and in America WE USE DOUBLE QUOTES FOR SPEECH! Single quotes are only used for thoughts.

I knew it was coming but I'm so sad. Cassius grew on me so much. The relationship he developed with Harry makes it even worse. Excuse me while I go cry now...
