Personally In a world like remnant the thought that grim could be like bees or ants with some queen and a "hivemind" isnt too unrealistic. It's just scary and tons of people chose to not believe things because they're too scary.

Also there are ANCIENT grim so an ancient grim queen would be a concept the general public would not want to believe. Even if it's not far from the truth and possible.

Ngl this is actually the best RWBY gamer fic, and maybe even the best gamer fic that I have read. It has all the action I could ever want and tension is maintained and we feel that there are real stakes involved with Jaune having such a ridiculous goal to meet. Please update this when your muse comes back to you
