You've done a magnificent work once more all with the plot, scenes, characters and adaptation. Although for some reason I spent the last part of the last chapter thinking that you were going to finish it with something like "And then they got on the ship that was called Titanic" XD
Like I said, I loved this story and hope you keep doing an excellent work with these characters I love so much.

Oh, Friend! This is the best finale I could've ever asked for! It's a very happy ending indeed, and I thank you for it! I was smiling from beginning to end! Kyle waking up - aching but alive - to Eric waiting patiently for him, holding his hand gently, was so wonderful! As was their first kiss that followed! Or, should I say, first /kisses/, haha! I love it when these two just can't get enough of each other like that! Please keep on portraying them as passionate as this! And it was so nice for Kyle to finally see Eric's true form. I have to agree that he is very handsome indeed, haha! It was nice for him to see the rest of the staff, too. All their descriptions were perfect, I could imagine exactly how they all are! What I love most, though, is how sweet on each other Eric and Kyle were! As much as I love their rivalry-like romance in other fics, where they're picking on and teasing each other and doing this dishonest dance of pretending they don't care as much as they do, it's just so pleasant and refreshing to see them openly liking each other, being honest and kind to one another. With the both of them having been barren to true love - both trapped in their own way, by the form they take or the family they have - it's so nice for them to finally experience that. I'm so happy they get to read and walk around the gardens together, and talk and kiss, and just love and support each other forevermore. This is probably my favourite part of the story - where they just get to be with each other without worrying about Eric's curse or Kyle's father or anything else, and the most of their problems is deciding what to read next. (Speaking of which, the image of Eric following after Kyle in the library, dutifully carrying the books he picks out and worrying about him being so high up, is so cute! And I love the fact that they couldn't agree on a book this time, because they /won't/ always agree; but they reached a compromise, and they can still happily read together even if it's not from the same book. This is what I want for them!) That said, I'm glad they're leaving the manor. I'm sad too, of course - a lot took place there, and it's full of memories. Still, something about Disney's 'Beauty and the Beast' that felt weak to me was the fact that Belle wanted "adventure in the great, wide somewhere," but she never got it - she stayed put in the same castle, presumably for the rest of her life, with Adam. So I'm glad that this fic of yours improves on that, and Kyle gets to go out and find adventure in the great, wide somewhere, like he's always wanted, with Eric by his side. It does justice to his curious, adventurous spirit - and Eric's too. And it only makes sense for Eric to want to escape the place he was a prisoner in for so long. It feels right for them to leave, despite everything. And them leaving the manor as we readers have to leave this story is a pleasant parallel. Although I'm just as sad that we have to leave this story; but I enjoyed my time with it while it lasted. It was brilliant! The characters were all lovely and lovable (except Gerald and Leslie, but they weren't supposed to be, so you did right there), the descriptions of all the surroundings and events were so detailed and divine that they satisfied all my senses, and the story was so captivating from start to finish, just like an enchanting fairy-tale should be. And, of course, the way you wrote our beloved Eric and Kyle was wonderful as always! Your perfect portrayal of their love always reaffirms /my/ love for them, haha! I'm beyond satisfied after reading this fic, Friend. You should be proud of yourself for doing such justice to this classic tale and this great ship. I'm so sorry for how late my review is, Friend! This fic deserves better than that - as exemplified by this fantastic pre-finale chapter in which all the excitement came to a head. I should have known it wouldn't all be over after Kyle left Gerald - of course that selfish bastard, cowardly as he was, wouldn't let Kyle be free to go and be happy with Eric just like that. Agh! And they were /so/ happy, too. I absolutely adored their reunion scene - the way they called out for each other and ran to one another so desperately. They missed each other so much, it makes my heart sing! Kyle got the warm welcome I knew he would, and I loved it for the short while it lasted. Of course it couldn't last too long, though - you /are/ the Angst Queen, after all, pfft! Even so, even though it's sad, I'm glad this chapter went the way it did in the end. If Gerald hadn't come, then Kyle wouldn't have been able to perform his act of love (which was so like him - he's always been such a protective, self-sacrificing person), and Gerald wouldn't have been scared away for good (it's funny and poetic how it was his /own/ monstrosity that frightened him off, in realising the horror he had committed, rather than Eric's), and Eric and the staff wouldn't have had their curse lifted. Hooray for them all finally being free! But boo for Kyle being hurt! It shocked me so much - I wasn't expecting my precious son to be put on death's door like this! Why must you compromise my emotions like this, Friend?! [Sigh] Oh, well. It's the ups and downs in this story that keep me so riveted, so I can forgive you for doing this to me. And I hope you can forgive me for being so late, pfft! Sorry again! And thank you for writing this fic! uwu
