Well written start of a story and of course it is always the writer's domain of how to build their characters. But there is something I feel a need to comment about regarding your character creation process.

Sometimes I wonder at writer's decision making processes when it comes to what choices they have these gamers make.

In this story's case, the part that makes me cringe a bit is you set up an absurdly powerful possible future ability then you completely skipped over it. Arguably the best / most abusable of the possible (perk?) choices completely ignored. So he'll be able to seal faster, great. So he'll be able to learn weapons faster, great. So he can cast wind jutsus better, great. But one of those three could and should have been left out for Chakra Regeneration Lvl One (personal preference would've been either the weapon or wind specialties).

At only level one that regen ability already was abusable for learning things ala shadow clones, not to mention makes learning 'any' jutsu not just wind jutsu easier since he could be practice spamming them all day with only 20 minute break times. Whereas most ninjas apparrently take far longer to regenerate as seen by how long Kakashi takes to regen from chakra exhaustion. What this means is that your ninja player will not be anywhere near as effective just as a result of this one poor pick.

And that is 'before' consider that is just level one and usage or further unlocked upgrades would make it even better. Perhaps level 2 would have cut down how long until 5% regens, or perhaps it would regen more than 5% in the same time period. Either way eventually this perk maxed out would have made the user practically a demon carrier in spammability depending on just how far you limited its growth.

Going back to the shadow clones concept, even if the actual chakra reserves was small enough that he could only use 1 clone, he could just redo this every 20 minutes. Making it almost as useful of a training tool as Naruto had. 3 new clones per hour. As many as 72 new clones per day on days when he didn't stop for sleep.

All of this is just beginning at establishing how important this ability would have been, Not to mention that according to the canon, the more the ninja uses chakra, the larger their reserves became. Meaning that if your candidate was nonstop spamming jutsu of any type, he would eventually have grown to Naruto-sized chakra reserves eventually. Which in turn would because of the hard % gains mean that the same 5% would go from regenerating say 500 chakra to say 5,000,000 chakra in the same time frame once the max chakra pool increased to large levels. Which in turn would mean more spammability. Until eventually your ninja could nonstop throw out jutsu that had hard chakra costs rather than % costs and always regenerate faster than the costs could even be noticed.

And, again, all of this is just the start of what a colossal waste that potential was. We know that fights are generally short in the ninja world, so a 20 minute for full regen timer doesn't seem that great. But, the player could also have focused on jutsus designed to slow down, stall, shield, escape, and heal. This would result in battles becoming attrition fights which would always be in their favor even against chakra monsters like Kisame and Naruto. Hell, this would even fit in perfectly with a specialty in seals anyway since they both often take time to create, and are great power equalizers / stalling tools.

The only weakness this ninja would have had would be insta kills, and traps that the ninja did not recognize. IE genjutsu. Which is why I would have personally gone regen/genjutsu/seals or even regen/genjutsu/poison but those two are more a matter of preference I suppose.

But at the very least the regen should have been the absolute first pick even if you only got one. And I believe I have adequately explained why.

I apologize for a long rant, I've just read one too many "gamer" styled fanfic where the author would establish some ridiculously good stat or perk then waste the opportunity. I would not have said a word if the ability had not even been brought up, but authors bringing something like this up as a possible choice and then not using it seems incredibly short sighted at best.

Not really sure what moron was complaining about Minato being better then you even with your gamers advantage, but they clearly never farmed for lvls in a game before. Even with gamers advantage you still have to do something over and over again to lvl it up to badass lvls. They are in game characters that could easily stomp you if you go in as a noob where you shouldn't be. So Minato who is a recognized harass prodigy should be good even in the beginning. That said your character could easily surpass him with some hardcore lvl farming. Plus fast travel if has that for places he's already been could cut down on travel time. So either way love story so far tell other guy to stick it.

He doesn't have heterochromia, he has green eyes, you chose them in chapter one...

So Minato is the protagonist of this story then? You keep saying the only thing Minato's better at is sealing, but I'm really not seeing it. In a year or two the MC is going to be redundant, even with these 'sealing ideas', he could just tell Minato about them and Minato would be able to do them better...

Digimon, cool. Also, I am biased for earth cause I love Toph as the idea, but I am of the opinion dead eye and chakra regen is op, mostly because dead shot is an actual character.

*tilts head slightly to the side* is it just me or is that a three way relationship on the horizon? With Kushina as the meat and Minato & Davis as the buns.

I could technically see such happening, since the whole live hard/die young life style of the Shinobi world would accommodate such a union, though as with Davis' family it is probably more likely for two girls to hook up with one guy than vice versa but not impossible. It even makes sense given that Kushina needs to repopulate her clan, so having two husbands would allow her to not have to worry about suddenly losing her source of babybatter(as cold and blunt as that is, it is also the truth).

I am loving the fact that you are putting both the Sealing prowess of Kushina and Minato(not to mention Davis) to good use, both to help advance the village in general and to help its shinobi in particular. Though I would say that having static seal radios to be placed at each individual outpost along Konoha's Borders would probably be more helpful in the communications department(I would also like to point out that the Chunin Exams use of the Heaven and Earth scrolls to summon their Chunin guides once inside the FoD's main tower, would make for a great inner-nation method to quickly deploy outgoing forces when combined with the communications seals. Although without a return to the village function to prevent easy access to spies/enemies/invaders).

They could also sell the seal/windmill design to Suna, as a method to increase ties with their allies and as a potential bargaining chip for trade between the two ninja villages.

I am curious as to when we finally get to Naruto's birth, will Kushina survive?(personally, I think Kushina could have survived the extraction process either by having the Kyuubi returned to her body or via Tsunade level medical ninjutsu. Although since Uzumaki's are known for their longevity and extremely hardy bodies, she probably could have simply survived without anyone's help if she hadn't taken a claw to the guts)

PLEASE, stop trying to stick to cannons rails when the timeline is (or at least should be) so far out of wack the the mc should be able to "smell the roses" as it were and realize he is extremely likely to have to do something about Armageddon instead of counting on ninja Jesus to save him,which in my opinion he should be doing regardless of how "certain" salvation would seem to be, instead of trying to pass the buck because he is lazy/afraid. I mean come on he is trying to pass on (even hypotheticaly) the responsibility of saving the world to the child of his two best friends, how pathetic is that? This isn't a game and he constantly treats it like it is.

Both are so cute. Why his family don't adopted Minato? Legally I thing they already did it as family.
