I feel like your story lacks the feelings invoked by Middle Earth. You don't bother to use Middle Earth language, you don't respect how elves have children, you killed off Legolas' mother when she supposedly sailed to the undying lands in canon... Your stunted growth of Caladwen is obviously just so that she'd be the same height as a dwarf to make her pairing with Thorin more attractive, but it's not written in a way that actually appeals to the story. It literally comes across as a lame excuse so that she and Thorin will be the same height, nothing else. Elves have a really hard time having children, and yet somehow Legolas was born two years after his parents got married, and then Caladwen only five years later. Somehow, Legolas could walk, sing and dance at only one year old...? And for no reason whatsoever, Faelwen decides that at nine months pregnant she's going to go on a trip to Rivendell. The elves of Rivendell and Greenwood are actually extremely different, apparently not on the best relations, and even have different backgrounds... so why exactly was she even going there? And at the end of her pregnancy? And then Thranduil's reaction was honestly not even extreme, and why the hell is Gandalf the one delivering the news? The names you picked, Faelwen and Caladwen are also not great choices, no offence. Just not really majestic or beautiful for elven women who adore the stars and nature. There's a thousand and one spelling mistakes, and a lot of your sentences are just grammatically incorrect. The start of your story just really doesn't flow well at all and that's mainly due to the way you wrote it, even though the actual content is extremely questionable. I hope you find my criticisms to be constructive and helpful if ever you decide to rewrite this story. Best of luck.
