This is an interesting concept that i never even considered and i hope you continue it thunder punch could have been and ignoring your note still could be an egg move and quick attack is a pretty basic move so who really cares about that I was wondering about his method to get to cinnibar is he going to ride psyduck, take the time to evolve into golduck , have psy/golduck pull a stolen boat because golduck is the best swimmer but carrying ash without alot of practice would mean being in the water all the way to cinnibar thats my biggest problem with this fic if you can figure that out this could be a reap interesting fic thanx for the story

It has been forever since watched Orange Islands but is that Psyduck the same one that keep pissing Misty off because she can't control it due to it's headache but is quite strong when it get serious in a fight? Amusing enough I do recall that she thought hers evolved and it turn out the whole time that Golduck isn't hers but a wild one that is perverted in that it only listen to females.

Caused her no end of headaches that is for sure and if looks could kill, her Psyduck would have turned to ash ages ago... not sorry for the pun!

Still, it does make sense that starting trainers go that way because the other way is full of endless water that there is no way that somebody's newbie water starter could learn surf and go all the way to the other island.

Still, does that change things in the timeline sense? I could see Ash's Pokémon getting stronger at a faster rate well as him becoming a better trainer at a faster rate and I doubt Blaine would sic his Magmar on him the same way Giovanni would bother to use Nidoking on somebody's starting Weedie so it would make sense that Gym Leaders has Pokémon on standby that they use on all kind of trainers that depend on how many badges they has.

Such superb reasoning there with Ash's charmander knows Quick Attack and Thunder Punch. I mean you didn't take the logical route of saying that thunder punch was an egg move. Or that Ash was training his charmander in how to use said moves. No, charmander knows them just because. Living up to your own high standards man.
