Wfest chapter 13 . 8/21/2018
A really very good story.
Guest chapter 1 . 12/7/2017
I don't think people seem to realize something. The author of this story has passed away, she died in an accident. This happened many years ago, hence no updates on the story. It's very sad and a lot of the authors here mourned her and wrote dedication pieces for her. I hope she continues writing, wherever she is.

So I know I'm a little late on the draw (13 years is a little? What?) and that you might not even still be attached to this account any more, but I just wanted to say that I really honestly very much enjoyed this story, and it filled in exactly what I would have imagined to happen at the end of the Kyoto arc that we didn't get to see. This is probably the best Rurouni Kenshin fic I've read so far, and the characters were extremely well written, to the point where I could totally hear their voices as I read. I spent a very happy three evenings reading this story, and will more than likely come back to read it again and again. It surely not one that I will soon forget. Wonderful job, and I hope dearly that you went on to continue writing after the last update of this story.

fluffybluff chapter 1 . 2/16/2016
re-reading old fics. I love your art and your tales. I wish you would be here to continue all of your stories, but I guess I can wait until we meet in heaven.

virginger chapter 13 . 4/29/2015
One of the best I've ever read! portrays their emotions and thoughts so well! and Please tell me you'll be working on a sequel, at least a one shot for sano and megumi! PLEASE! They're soooooo nice together! I love your understanding of their dynamics and chemistry together and i really want to read more of it :)

PS: Soul of a Hitokiri is one of my absolute favorites together with the sequel Changing Sides by Moonsilver
ItStartsWithZ chapter 12 . 4/19/2015
That was wonderful. The feelings were real. The characters are authentic. I'm glado to have found such a masterpiece.
Tatsumaki-sama chapter 12 . 8/17/2014
I could definitely see something like this happening after Shishou's defeat. I love how you portrayed Megumi, Kenshin and the others. This was a well written story that I truly enjoyed reading.
BewareOfFlyingMonkeys chapter 13 . 4/13/2014
I love your story! great writing!
Amita4ever chapter 12 . 7/6/2013
I only discovered Keshin's animes this year, and thoroughly enjoyed them (am just starting on the mangas). Your story is a delightful continuation of the Kyoto Arc and brings it to a very satisfying close... fills in a gaping hole in the original story with a well written plug that fills in all the little nooks and crannies.

And now I'm off to see if the illustrations you hinted at ever got posted, because it was a picture called 'Not Immortal" that led me here, and I'd love to see more art to illuminate this tale :)
natsu.point chapter 12 . 12/22/2011
A very good story but I don't like how it ended. The way Himura reject or ignore Megumi's feelings made me feel that it signify that he still hasn't move on, that he still feels that he doesn't deserve having a happy life. Or that he feels he's betraying Tomoe for another woman. Himura's actions toward Megumi contradicts the message of the story. The story is trying to tell us that he finally forgive himself for killing Tomoe and is moving on yet he still pushes people away from him. In the end he still didn't FULLY forgive himself for the actions he did during the Bakumatsu.
Shizuka Taiyou chapter 13 . 10/27/2011
