HooleQuinn chapter 86 . 1/7/2018
OMG so many feels! Bravo, though, this was an excellent story! I'd love to see a one shot or ficlet with Lightning, Grace, & Cruz, I guess partly because I don't want this timeline to stop yet. Either way, I'd love to see more Cars fics from you, you did a great job!
KentuckyMacFuck chapter 86 . 1/2/2018
I just want to say that I will be sad to see this fic end, I have been watching it ever sense Chapter 9 was posted and have become quite attached to both your OCs and portrayals of the canon characters (I hope you don't mind me drawing fanart because I probably will, Lmao!) X'D

Congratulations on finishing R!.

This got me, it got me so good I have no words to describe it!.
Saberius Prime chapter 86 . 1/2/2018
RIP Doc. Kind of wanted to see a kind of Cars heaven where Doc reunites with Cornelia. That would be sweet. But it was a perfect ending.

Great chapter.

These were so cute!, Lightning and Doc and Grace are just all too precious! :'D

Awww! I love the sister-brother relationship between Grace and Lightning!
HooleQuinn chapter 81 . 12/23/2017
Awesome! Doc loves his Racing Son! So much so that he can call Lightning 'son' without feeling guilty. It would be interesting to see Lightning's feelings on this. Like, is he aware of how Doc feels about him? What does he think about Grace calling him 'little brother', and does he understand the meaning of that? (Just FYI, I did get a notification for a chapter 82, not sure if that was on purpose or just a glitch, but I wanted to let you know in case it was ;) )
HooleQuinn chapter 79 . 12/5/2017
AHHH! So many car feels, I love it! :D Doc officially has his Racing Son and Grace has a Racing Bro. I gotta admit, that last line where she called him little brother got to me. I also like how you dealt with Doc's motivation for calling the press on Lightning. Eagerly looking forward to your next update!

OH DEAR GOD I'M CRYING WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO ME! :'D

Lightning... Oh my gosh I hope we get to see his reaction to Grace's words in the next chapter, and I love that Doc (while not feeling like he's replacing his blood son) actually feels like he has a son now, it's so sweet to finally see him happy! DX (will we ever get just a random chapter of happy family time with the three?... My heart needs that).
HooleQuinn chapter 74 . 11/18/2017
Whoo I love how you described Doc's racing scene! And oh boy, Doc, your soon-to-be Racing Son is already starting to grow on you, isn't he? Everyone in town already sees it ;) Grace is already starting to act like an older sister to Lightning, I love it. I think the three of them are gonna start to realize how much they all really need each other.

I had been wondering about this story off and on recently, so I was really happy to see the notifications for this come through in my inbox! Best news I've gotten all week ;)

Beautifully done! You have such a way with words, and you continue to weave the storyline and intertwine the emotions perfectly. Even without dialogue for most of the beginning scene, you continue to describe Lightning's personality well and it shows that you have a true understanding of his youth and lack of empathy in particular aspects. I'm in love with the parallels between the times when Hudson would explain his disheartened views of his previous career and the fast forward to the moment with Lightning and his "vehemence" - easy to read how it dredges the pain now that Hudson is faced with his past. The moment between Flo and Grace I think said a lot, given their relationship over the years and the bonds they have. I'll be interested to see how that conversation will go between them.

Oh wow, there was a lot in this chapter! I can't move an inch forward, however, without telling you just how much the line "I don't remember" from Charles hit me. Even typing it hurts because it was such a simple answer but it held everything and lost so much. One of the biggest pains in life is regret and also not having the ability to make up for lost time. I love Charles dearly and he'll never be able to have a clean slate with Cornelia, and she'll never know just how truly sorry he is for not being the father he should have been. It just plain makes me sick to think about sweet baby Cornelia approaching her daddy with wide, unconditionally loving eyes and how Charles reacted. It makes me want to cry. The rest of his reply tears at me. My second favorite line is "your mother was never afraid of much of anything, I realize" because it continues to emphasize an aspect of your story I love: strength, to get through anything. There's a certain courage to face the world but also yourself, and I think every one of your characters has had to face both aspects. Of course I love the banter between Charles and Lightning - I couldn't help but laugh out loud at the Stanley Steamer line! I was also warmed by the moment between Hudson and Mary Ellen - I always smile so big when I get to read about that kind and patient lady. I picture her as someone quietly graceful, holding a tender smile, someone with the air of wisdom but looks of youth.
classycontour chapter 69 . 10/16/2017
Charles was nothing short of amazingly entertaining as always. It makes me happy and completes me in so many ways to not only see how Charles has changed, but to read about his continued good-natured demeanor towards Mary Ellen and Grace. Your most recent chapters with Mary Ellen and Charles, as well as the material you sent me via email, has me forever considering them my most favorite couple of all time. Their journey in itself is one of the most powerful things I've ever read, and I love how you have included those lessons into the debacle in Radiator Springs. I was elated to see that Mary Ellen had a part in this chapter and to also see her and Charles interact in loving and thoughtful ways. Moreso, I'm happy that Grace gets to see her grandparents so in love in the midst of a repaired and healthy marriage. You're writing about some very important lessons in this chapter, and although it means nothing to Lightning as of right now, you're doing a great job of keeping him at punk level and in-character, so to speak. Again I wish this had been the version I saw, because your characters are always so believable and entertaining throughout lessons in life and in death.
