I believe this was the first fanfic I read many many years ago with Severus and Snape. I haven't re-read it in over a decade, but I've always considered it one of my favorites.

I remember now why I loved it so much. Thank you Enahma for putting me on the patch of Severus/Harry as father/guardian fics and for making everyone's lives better for reading your works.

I've lost count how many times I've read your story over the years. Still, each time it hits me full force - breaks my heart just to put it together even stronger. Thank you so much for your beautiful, powerful writing.

Wow! This was crazy brutal...which is probably only fair since I was searching angst fiction. I found it a highly engaging story, and you had me thoroughly convinced and rather devastated over a major character death there for a while. Nice work. I will certainly move on to the rest of the trilogy.

I know you wrote this story ages ago, but I really wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed it! I normally don’t like stories where the past is severely AU, but this one is definitely an exception. I thoroughly enjoyed it and could hardly wait to start the next chapter. Your character development, plot, and OCs were really well thought out and planned. I especially like the character of Quietus. Keep writing you are very talented.

Wow, this was incredible. I was skeptical of all the changes you made to who was related to and dating who and everything different to the canon plot but the story itself was amazing and I cried reading how Severus felt thinking Harry was dead. I can’t wait to read the sequels!

This was the first fanfic I ever read. In Russian, more than 10 years ago. I think I was about 11 and quite shocked by all the torture. Now I return to it again, and enjoy it more than the vast majority of fanfiction I've read. What a black hole of Mentor!Snape texts you've sent me to, enahma! Thank you for this trilogy.
