Oh, I don't have words for how wonderful this fanfic is. It's the perfect post battle fic, so in character but so, so healing. It makes me feel like I'm being wrapped in a big snuggly blanket. Thank you so much for sharing.

This was such a beautifully intricate portrait of Minerva McGonagall that I feel at a loss for words. You have woven so many different threads throughout the entire story wonderfully. The sadness, the loss, the hope, and the healing were all balanced so perfectly.

I have never liked most of Minerva's story from Pottermore. It just never really felt authentic to the Minerva I knew from the books. Especially the whole Dougal McGregor part. So, honestly, I almost didn't read this because his name was in the summary. Thank Merlin I did! Your Dougal was nothing like what I pictured when I read about him the first time. And I can't tell you how much I loved him in this. And how believable I found their relationship. He came across as someone absolutely perfect for her and I enjoyed their interactions so much!

I also really enjoyed the search for the right spell to fix the castle. I found that fascinating. The flashbacks were lovely. And the characters were all so spot on! Severus' portrait smirking may have made me tear up.

I loved everything about this story! And I thank you for writing it!

Wow. This was such an incredible piece. I loved every chapter. I loved Minerva and your character study of her. The way she interacted with the staff and students and Dougal...it was so in character, but somehow you made her your own. Congrats on such a well written story. I loved reading it!

Thank you so much for this wonderful story. I think it's my favorite "after the war" story yet. I loved almost everything about it (except you had too much Ginny Weasley - I hate Ginny, and generally avoid any Harry/Ginny stories). But it was beautifully written, and aside from the occasional minor grammar error (like using the word "casted", which isn't an English word - the past tense of cast is cast), it was easy to read and interesting from beginning to end.
