| Guest2 chapter 9 . 8/3/2017 I'm with Guest on this one: the Order was already outnumbered two to one. Moody and Tonks were down, Remus was duelling Malfoy and Kingsley still fighting with Rookwood or anyone else - Dumbledore wasn't there. Sirius death wasn't senseless: if be hadn't intercepted Bellatrix, Neville and maybe Harry would have died and there is a good chance that she would have gotten the prophesy before DD arrived. She and Sirius fought for a long time. Not to forget that it was Harry's grief over Sirius' death that stopped Voldemort from possessing him. Stunning Sirius - betraying him without knowing the outcome on top of that!- should really bite Hermione in the behind. Not to mention that he deserves someone who treats him like the independent adult he is. Betraying his trust his a no go for someone like him. It would have been more subtle if she could have changed his behavior towards Kreacher or that her presence was enough to stop him from taunting Bellatrix (knowing that Bellatrix had tortured her, would change Sirius attitude while facing his cousin in battle). I quite enjoyed there interactions and the angst about Cedric. This however seems like the easy way out and I hope you're not using it but merely misleading your readers. Overall: nice style. |
