heads up: Hawkmoth speech is stupid already in the cartoon, it becomes straight up idiotic when you try to put it down in a written story. most miraculous fanfic writers avois his little speech, and they're very much right in doing so.
And in general, unless the reason for the akuma is important to the plot, it's better to ignore it.

Loved this story! I really liked that you showed how both characters saw through each other's "perfect" images and still liked what they saw and it helped bring them closer.

I am be one of the people who knows what puce looks like. It was named after the color of a flea that was squashed after filling up on blood. Now that you know that information, the story is a bit funnier(at least when she turns puce). Although it makes me question the delicateness of the color.
