I just came across this story on a chance- I usually don't even read fanfic from this fandom, as I'm not super familiar with the DC universe, but I was looking for something different. Luckily, I came across your story and I'm so glad I found this! I'm not reviewing just to get you to update- although that would be nice! I just wanted to let you know how interesting this story is so far, and how I plan on looking into more DC universe fanfic and specifically J'onn fanfic, and it's all because of your great writing! Keep up the great work, and hope to see something new soon!

I loved this story up until this last chapter- while I agree that romance is definitely one of the two genres that fit this story, I had always felt this story had bordered more on the angst side instead of friendship for the second genre. This last chapter just cements that feeling. I like the twist, IF the story had been labeled properly.

The reason being is this- some people (such as myself) come to this site to try and escape from the real world. And for that, you need to go back a re-label this as romance/angst instead of romance/friendship. I do occasionally read angst, but I don't read anything in that genre on the days where I am having a crappy day myself. I try and avoid bad memories and feelings and avoiding the angst genre is how I do this.

Sorry if I've upset you, but that was something that needed to be said.

Now onto the review- this story was wonderful and I love the characters' growth with one another. I liked seeing the primal/instinctual side of J'onn, and I hope that you can figure out a way for a sequel or even possibly find some way of maybe writing this from his point of view- it would be an incredibly interesting read!
