This is really good!

I've read this once before, in the darkest of nights with my own wicked past plaguing me, yet I read it once more. The detached emotion, the obscured details, it still chokes me because I've been there, I've been in his shoes. Not as someone abandoned by their parents or sexually abused or living in foster care, but as an old soul inhabiting a young body. The most delightful part about this bitter confection is the pot of gold at the end of this rainbow of sorrow because it represents the dream that I held onto, the dream that I achieved—forming a new life from the scraps that I had. It surprises me that this is only 12,111 words, for it's written like an elegant novel.

Why this doesn’t have more reviews is beyond me. This is a stunningly heartbreaking story. Not many stories put it as simply as you have here. Most cover it up with sunshine and rainbows and oh so much yellow;)
I love this, and will definitely be looking out for any more of your work!

This story was beautiful! If anyone wants a sort of angsty Jack Frost,story, this is one I would totally recommend! I also recommend it because you may get a little teary as well. :)

This was such a well written story. It’s hard to find works with topics like this that are written well. People take it too far in an immature and ignorant way. This sounded like you knew what you were talking about (I hope it wasn’t through experience). I could feel the emotions twist my heart. Keep up the good work!

Wow, even though this is short, I can't believe how beautiful it is. It's so well written, the simplicity has only made the charm more prominent. I cried then laughed at the same time because; Good God, the letter for Ms. Bennet hit the nail on the coffin (let's appreciate my morbid humor), that's what I thought about 'professionals' too.

I'm sobbing so hard right now, and I have been throughout the whole thing. This really describe things in a way that's easy to relate to but also makes you realize that some people have things worse then you and you need to always care. This fan fiction is honestly really beautiful and I'm so glad I came to it from however I found this. Just thank you, this is beautiful.

This was so good it seemed as if... you knew what you Where writing about. I mean you probably never experienced anything like this but wow there was so much depth so much thought put into this story it’s like... I don’t even know. I’m speechless and that’s something that rarely happens. I think at one point it brought tears to my eyes. How are people able to write things like this so beautifully and yet probably half the time (hopefully- I would hate to see/hear of anyone go through this.) they haven’t even gone though or experienced this. This is just so well written I've said already yes and I’ll say a hundred more this was so wonderful and yet painfully awakening at the same time. Most people go through life without stopping to thinkI wonder if that person is okay?’ or ‘could that person use a friend?’. It takes a really well written story to wake people up from the dream that is their life and truly see people other themselves that could use some help. What I’m trying to say is people should write stories like this all the time. With a character like Aster who actually stops to find out what is going on in jacks life and helps him overcome his demons. With a motherly character like tooth who will stop at nothing to make jack feel welcome. Thank you for a beautiful beautiful story. It’s amazing. Thanks and just so you know I shall follow you. I fully intend on reading more of your stories. Keep writing stories like this please
