I'd have to watch Gate first, but I might be interested in continuing this for you if someone hasn't done so already.

Wow, I just started watching Gate's first season and came across this fanfic and so far I like how this story is going and would like to see this continue. Not only did you show how quickly advent would take down the empire but you also have shown how the resistance would respond as well and look forward to how the Advent administration would decided to use the resources of the other world to further the Avatar project along with the DNA modifications they could utilize on the other races alone like the Elves for example due to their extended life cycles along with the Humans of that world.

I could also see one of the Chosen sent to that world to conquer it with a few units only to encounter a dragon and get worshiped as a god plus her concept of honor would fit too. ((I figured both Marksman/Sniper and the Warlock would find the world too primitive for their taste and it would work as a good plot device to remove her from capturing the commander,) Plus the fight would eventually lead to a fight between Rory Mercury who is working with Xcom against the Assassin on even footing and earning the respect of Nox afterward if he's chosen to lead or assist the Xcom group sent into the gate after rumors of how a blue-skinned warrior slain so many of the Empire allied divisions before taking one of their cites and reshaping it into something worthy of the Elders design.

Aside from that I'm surprised the Templars haven't shown any say on the matter since I figured they would have assets on hand monitoring advent controlled cities with Japan at the top of the list (That's where they popped up in my campaign of War of the chosen, and on that note the Warlock was a pain to take down by the way!)

With that said you wrote the story quite well and look forward to seeing more added should you decide to continue?

Nice, real nice, a three way conflict between two worlds, one with super advanced tech VS a world with magic and gods, sounds like some brutal battles are in the making, I look forward to reading more of this fine story.
