Reviews for The Quirky Existence of Izuku Midoriya

Peace Sign is so awesome!

Wow. That... Huh. One moment while I fumble around looking for the restart button while I remember how to use words again, haha.

But maaaan. Quite the snapshot of a world without Deku the hero. It's downright beautiful that he still chased after his dream of helping, of -saving- people, even if it wasn't in the same capacity he wanted. Then he went and died a hero's death anyways.

Kinda reminds me a bit of that one Christmas movie where the guy wishes he'd never been born and gets a look at the world without him - seeing all the lives he's touched. But that's not what Izuku's seeing here. That's what we readers see. And this world with Sub-Zero is downright depressing. Sounds like a job for Deku ;)

Also, a fun little parallel to the birth of One for All, what with there being another case of a hidden Quirk.

Kudos :3

This is great I do hope you continue it, but in the end that's your decision. I could see this going in some interesting directions especially since Izuku only knows secondhand accounts of different events, if any since he was focused on his studies, that happened and has zero hero training. I wouldn't call it a Gary, Peggy or Mary Sue story because you have already shown character flaws in Izuku and that he wouldn't have omnipotent knowledge of the future. Again I hope you will continue and I look forward to seeing more from you.

I have to say that was a really enjoyable story. If you want to continue it would make a great multi chapter fanfic. His quirk could be labeled Restart, when he dies his life gets Restarted at a significant turning point. I'd actually like to see him choose to stay on the path of a healer even after taking on One for All; his dreams are more realistic, he now has advanced medical knowledge, and the drive to help him want to help and heal people. He of course would still get high grades, but probably still wouldn't be number 1 at UA since he wasn't focused on heroics in high school. But this Izuku would be more focused on being a rescue hero then a heavy hitter the way he is in the anime. and he would probably be able to figure out how to work out One for All earlier because of his medical knowledge and train better as well. obviously he lost his preoccupation with quirks and strategy so that will lead to some issues with his character but I look favorably on him getting back into the habit. what he looses in fanatical devotion could be made up for with his increased maturity and him not crying at the drop of a hat. of course he saves "kacchan" and that makes him happy, I'm not sure if the past life will hurt or help him, on one hand- he has missed him so much and feels like Life1 was his fault and will let anything he does slide right off of him, or - he has matured too much to put up with the abuse and smacks some sense into him or he decides he [kacchan] is a lost cause. In any case I am pretty excited to see if you continue this or any other story. I'm rooting for you!
