Sorry it took me 5 chapters before I reviewed, but it is such a good story that I was immersed in it and forgot.

I feel so bad for Sirius. He is a fantastic brother/friend/ Godfather. He is also incredibly brave and tough. I am sure his time with his batshit crazy cousin was nothing short of hell.

For better or worse, you had the courage to have changed or repurposed many of the core events within your story, making it a very interesting tale.

One of the things that I have found to be less clear is the timeline. By example, I thought that Sirius was in the meeting with Fudge, Crouch and crew that was looking to allow younger Aurors. A page or two later Crouch was found on the Hogwarts grounds talking nonsense, looking like he had been walking for days, minutes before he had been killed. In the original tale, JR accomplished that through the use of Harry's map, yet there is no mention that it had gone missing, nor was there any mention that Crouch had gone missing.

The fourth year appearance of Quirrel implies that Harry's adventures from year one and two never happened and that Mr. Turban had been in place for years. If that were so, why not just "accidently" diffindo Harry in class and steal some of his blood while wiping it up on the floor.

Regarding Wormy, my recollection was that along with Black's escape, he brought Peter with him and advised Amelia that he was a rat. That said, I don't recall any mention that he'd escaped - the same with Bella. What did I miss?

There are two relatively easy fixes to these concerns (assuming that I simply didn't miss several sections that clearly explained these issues. One would be a half page of A/Ns at the start of the tale, explaining that these half-dozen Canon events are being changed. The other might be to start chapters with date listings, so we can more easily see how much time has passed. Remember, you as the storyteller have these ideas very clearly laid out in you mind whereas we as beer swilling readers are less attuned and occasionally get confused.

I’m enjoying this so far, it’s an interesting take on what would have happened had Sirius been the Secret Keeper. I admit I’m a bit confused by what exactly happened in ’81, but that could just be that you haven’t revealed all of it yet! Sirius absolutely would have done his job to that level, and I like your characterisation of Peter here. And McGonagall. Going to keep reading!

At first I was a bit confused that Moody was at the office and not being locked up with Jr inpersonating him, but by the end my brain caught up with the fact that much of what happened in the books didn't need to happen due to voldy not dying until now. What would have happened to Harry happened to Sirius.
But also who's this muggle that Voldy's crushing on? Is she an OC?

So far, all I've noticed is that you're just re-writing the seventh book. The only difference is that you're making Sirius the primary character.

I hope you finish this story. I have truly enjoyed it thus far.
