This is brilliant! I love the AU, and characterisation is spot on - especially of Lily! I love the way you built the AU just enough to know what's going on but left a little intrigue there as well - which says to me that you need to write sequels and prequels and all the things for this AU. Am just saying.
I love the ending, and the "Don't push it." That made me laugh, especially because she gave into him, and then the 'It might be the most important, though' is just all the awws.

I love how you've built James and Lily's relationship. They're both really in character, but because of the situation the relationship isn't quite like in canon, but it's close enough. It's exciting to read because you almost know what's going to happen but not quite. (I was going to say it's like reading your favourite story written by someone else, but that is literally what fanfiction is).

You've given us just enough info to be able to read the story and the dynamic between them, but also by not going too deep into organisations and stuff you've kept it easy to read and also a little mysterious, too.

And also there are some hecka cute moments in there and I love it.

I feel like I'm being bombarded with such good Jily stories. This was so adorable and awesome! I love how in character they were in this au! which you wrote awesomely, by the way. Their teasing words and fast heartbeats made me all giggly. I love the flow you have here because I feel like it really reflects the mood you've set for this piece which is more fun and upbeat. Also, you made me question stuff which is something I love doing in stories. Like, all those other places she said, Rome, Paris, I wanna read those interactions too! Well done!

I love the banter between them, the quips and how fast paced this is. It's a mix of the adventure, the action, the thrill of 'will they get caught' but also just Lily and James bouncing off each other. It really cements the familiarity they have together and builds upon the backstory you created and wove throughout the story. That was another thing I loved, how they always reflected back to previous missions, it really added to it all and had me imagining the different capers they'd gone through.

I especially love how you weren't quite sure what 'side' Lily was on. It's probably me being black and white but James trying to stop the Malfoy's makes me think he's a 'Good Guy' which leaves Lily in an ambiguous position which I love.

I keep saying love because honestly I love this AU and think it's fantastic. I think you were subtle, it was vividly portrayed and I could go on about it for days. I'm sorry this review isn't full of substance, merely fangirling but here we are, it was just brilliant. Thank you very much.

This is completely brilliant. I wasn't sure what to expect when I started reading - only that I wouldn't be disappointed because I know your writing is perfect.

I didn't expect this. I like Jily and all, but you've brought this to a whole other level where I want this to be... more. I want a series of these fics. I want to know what happened when they were drugged/poisoned/dying. I want to know the story behind the ring and the car and Berlin and... and... and... I'm so invested in this fic because it's beautiful and perfect and I didn't want it to end.

I love the way you portrayed the characters. Lucius and Narcissa were great, even though their part was small, they felt just like Lucius and Narcissa from canon, and James was utterly perfect. His eyes fixed only on Lily as we picture canon. I like that Lily was all mysterious here, it gave it the whole spy/femme fatale feel that come hand in hand with spies and these types of stories.

I have no con-crit because there wasn't a single thing wrong with this story! Brilliant job!

Awww! How cute! I love the way you wrote the two of them. Especially the ending had me internally screaming. The playfulness between them was great. I think that the flow would be better if you used "or" or something similar instead of, but other than that it was perfect. I also loved the action a lot. It was exactly what I want from a spy story. I really wish this was a multichap. Great work!

This was an interesting AU. It felt a little like something from a spy movie, and part of that was because I could visualize everything clearly.
I'm kind of glad they didn't get officially-together. That probably would have killed the spy movie feel a bit. But the hints to future relationships were there...
I do feel like the flow in the beginning didn't exactly fit, but the rest of the fic more than made up for it.
Overall, I like this AU (and the story) quite a bit :)

Damnit Sophy you're a fantastic writer. I can literally /feel/ everything you write; it's just brilliant. I especially loved the whole bit where James is just completely mesmerised by her. Then the little tidbits of information dropped here and there while the story progresses was fantastic. I loved that we had little to no information at the start and barely anymore at the end, but you still managed to tell us just enough that was relevant to the story so there weren't any info dumps or rambling paragraphs on what happened previously. *takes notes* And that whole thing about how they pretend like they've never met every time - it gave me so many Sidney Sheldon's "If Tomorrow Comes" feels. I loved it.

I love the way you set this up. It really did feel like a spy movie type thing. The way you build the AU so effortlessly amazes me.

I love the interaction between James and Lily. The banter felt so natural, and, once again, it felt like something we'd see in a spy movie. Lily is this great femme fatale type and James is all smooth, like Bond. And it shows in everything they do.

The actual plot of the story was awesome. I love that you kept the action going, even with all the flirting and budding love. You found the perfect balance and kept me hooked throughout

I enjoyed that immensely. I do enjoy glamorous muggle!AU cause yeah Harry Potter is about the magic but it’s nice to see it with no magic too. Plus I love Joly. It was a nice light piece hat was cool and suave and funny.
It was well written and flowed nicely though I’m curious to know exactly what they were there for especially how James could be making Lily’s target jealous.

I enjoyed this. It had a sort of James Bond/1930's feel that I loved. James and Lily's interactions are perfect: James ever cocky, but secretly unsure of himself, and Lily, teasing and bold and bright. Your descriptions were perfect from James's point of view, and I enjoyed the way they decided to help each other, even if they were working for different agencies.
I was half expecting the Malfoys to arrive once the alarm was tripped and James and Lily to have to pretend to be "looking for privacy" as they snogged each other senseless. Whilst that would have been funny, I appreciate that you've remained classy :)

Aw yes. James/Lily AND a spy!AU. Hell’s bells. I was excited before I even started. And you didn’t disappoint. (You never disappoint but that’s not the point) I loved how they were from didn’t agencies and still worked together because of their attraction to each other.

This was just great, man. I love how this isn’t the first time you’ve had them cross paths. I think that was an excellent idea. And I especially loved the way James is like, “you’re using me to make your target jealous. You've done this too many times before.” Yes, man.

I liked the way that you didn’t really have them together-together, but you hinted at future relationship. This was just everything I needed in my life but didn’t know.
