Perfect continuation to their discussion and one I would have loved to see on screen. You write them both so amazingly that I could totally picture their talk and reactions. Loved how you showed Deeks’ insecurities and worries, and Kensi’s confidence and concern. Those names were also wonderful, and even if we never get that far in the show, I will always have this great talk to go back to. Great job, my friend, can’t wait to read new things from you ;)

You totally nailed their voices in this one; I can so hear Deeks b!tching about the car and Kensi calling him out on it before bringing it back around to her concerns. I love confident Kensi in contrast to insecure Deeks. They support each other so well. And I think you're right, Deeks is definitely responding to a lack of control over his life, between Whiting, Mosley, and perhaps even Bates. The only constant he really has is Kensi and their 'ship, so of course he's putting his mental energies into planning the next step there. And the more I think of it, the more I like Sunny and Gunny, especially in light of the heritage and meaning of Gunny.
