as I've commented (yes, dead/abandoned story, but I still wish to answer the question):

If I would be dumped in the MCU and had half the smarts of say Peter Parker or Tony Stark then I'd would (after enhancing my body - you used the Goblin-Formula, but there's Extrimis, too and other things) go for an armor that can fly (at best a nano-tech based one), self-repair, deploy various weapons (re-shaping the nanites into a sword or claws is cool!), defenses (energy-shield!) and at best additional arms (like the ones Dr. Octopus uses - but coupled with Stark-Tech Repulsor-Units, so they can help with the flying and fighting!)...I'd also want escorting drones so I am basically a one-man army (hell, I'd keep drones close in civilian-life, too so that nobody can easily ambush me :)

I'd also try to learn MCU-Magic if possible and I'd love an infinity stone (all of them if possible, but then again any one of them would probably help!)

this is probably abandoned, but I can't help myself:

Good start - but why go with the glider? Frankly depending on that is a bad idea, especially in a world where better solutions exist (like the Iron Man Armor or Falcon's Armor, the EXO-7)...being separated from the glider limits your hero's mobility and the glider itself isn't the best thing to use in tight spaces, not to mention that traveling long distances standing will tire the hero out (mentally at least, even if the physical side is covered by super strength, endurance etc.)

Yeah, the story was getting a bit out of hand. I think you might have been better, upon discovering Alex's immortality, to have him interact more with immortals like Sif and The Ancient One. Some of TAO's banter was the best bits of this fic.

Meh. I sort of think he's done ok on the power front. I'd be more interested in him actually doing stuff.

I think your main character needs to start delegating... A lot. And also, he promised Ben Grimm a partial cure ages back but I think that's been forgotten.
