Interesting chapter but i don't get why Naruto don't trust Jiraiya, yes he might be irresponsible but he will never do anything to harm him, and about Hinata it makes no sense to keep here hidden, Naruto could tell Jiraiya that he already promises her that he wont send her away and Jiraiya knows that Naruto won't break a promise, also it would be fun to read how Hinata and Amaru try to get his attention.

LMAO! That is totally something Naruto would do! He's much too stubborn/bullheaded to do something by half and quit! Good job on that! And I would honestly imagine that Naruto is one of the only people who wouldn't realize that shadow clones transfer memories. He makes large amounts of them on a daily basis during battle, and when they are destroyed he's probably too hyped up on adrenaline to realize it. And when he does make an individual clone, I can't remember a time where he has it do stuff on its own without Naruto being there too, he may not notice the new memories since they experience almost the same things. Someone probably should have taken him to the side and informed him of this just incase he didn't know. Then again, I would imagine that the additional information on the technique was in the forbidden scroll when it described the technique and maybe Naruto didn't notice? Either way, looking forward to the next chapter.
