This series seems like Megs could go either way , stay good and not become a villain or possibly Roxanne winds up being moved away for years and he goes down the path that has him become a villain mostly following the movie , soon after or during the movie its found out that they were childhood best friends and go back to being besties, and later on perhaps on a Halloween night the new hero of Metro city , while the trio are dressed up as the Adams family, he does the same line that he did when they were kids but pulls out a ring and proposes.
I'm able to assemble bones of a story but fleshing it out so it can become a creation is something I have trouble doing.
Feel free to use the idea that idea if you want since it's just something that popped into my head from your work. Its something I'd read if it was used. Either way I'll be waiting to read what comes next.

I loved the costumes! I think the one where Minion dresses up as the woodland creatures pretending to be the Prince was my favorite. How unique! I'd like to see a drawing of that. So great for Minion to make the costumes, and I like how Syx's science kind of seems like magic. Because it really is that way in the movie. And I love how it doesn't escape Roxanne's notice that Syx always dresses as villains, and that the costumes completely hide his looks. Really wonderful conversation at the end, as Roxanne draws him out of his shell and they get to talk about it; she is considerate of his feelings and doesn't want to push him into anything, but she does a good job letting him know she llikes being with him.

I like Roxanne using her brain here, choosing a Beauty and the Beast theme so that Syx would have to choose between the completely concealing costume and the villainous one (and demonstrating by his choice that he isn't all that attached to eee-vil).

My heart just did an unxplainable thing when I noticed a new entry on this series. SIWSCT has always been a cool universe to dwell on and this entry is fantastic. I like the way in which you connected ages, it is very original (and awesome) to do so through Halloween. And that final escene, Syx being honest about how he feels and Roxanne being understanding but stating what she thinks, is amazing to read, because this is what I like about these two. There are misunderstandings, sure, but they both try their best at being open with each other and that is a rare and extremely precious relationship. You rock, Set!

I love the various costume-choices. I loved the bit with the Sleeping Beauty dress, especially the line about how Megamind's science could be just like magic. That was an excellent line. The first couples-costume, Beauty and the Beast- that was excellent choice, right there. :D

Roxanne's observations, about the consistent themes with hhis costume-choices, was very good to read. I also liked the indication that Minion noticed what was going on as well.

The fact that she chose Addams Family for this move was very interesting! ;) Gomez and Morticia are a very *passionate* couple, and I can't help but wonder about some of the possibilities that were no doubt running through Megamind's head when he asked her why she wanted to do *this* group-costume. They are twelve, and adorable, but also most likely know what's up. And they are flirting! 'In-character' flirting still totally counts!

This was wonderfully written and so heartfelt! I think everybody who is part of an ethnic minority can relate to Syx's words, "My skin is the wrong color" and to his worries about Roxanne being bothered by the people who stare at them when they are together. Also, it was fun to read about her dressing up as Belle and him dressing up as the Beast, because Beauty and the Beast is actually the story that provided the inspiration for the movie Megamind!
Now my big curiosity is, will Syx grow up to become Megamind and play the part of the supervillain in this particular universe you created or not?
I'm so very glad you didn't abandon Megamind's universe in favor of Strange Magic's fandom. I like everything you write, but your Megamind stories are always the best to read. Please, share more of those!

What a sweet story. Maybe a little romantically advanced for 12, though. (I say as the mother of a 12-year-old.). When these kids are 14 or 15, they're gonna get themselves in some trouble, I'm sure. Wonder when her parents will start with the no boy-girl sleepover rule? Sounds like that may be necessary soon. Especially with them now casting themselves in a romantic pairing for costumes. I bet Roxanne's going to get an uncomfortable conversation with her mom soon. Wonder what Syx's reaction to that will be when he hears. Will he be mortified or slyly encouraged by the idea of a romance with Roxanne? Or maybe a self-conscious combination of both? Could be fun to read that. I want to read their first kiss, which is probably coming in a year or two here. :)

Anyway, lovely story. I'm enjoying it.

Aw ... I like how observant Roxanne is. It sets her up as a future reporter, whether or not she pursues that path in this timeline.

Aw poor Megs. I bet his heart nearly stopped when she said mi amor. XD
