Great chapter

There was actually a surprising amount of emotional revelations going on in this chapter. More-so than I was expecting. For one, I'm definitely interested in the fact that some of the Espada are going to help escort the Workers to the 'Great Tomb of Nazarick' and I'm glad that Aizen has the sense to not have the JOIN the Workers. Honestly, it would be a blow to them, both in terms of danger-of-the-unknown and reputation wise. The Espada's maybe a Mercenary Company but they're a company with set parameters, standards, and clients. Workers are people who are just not tethered by the Adventurer's Guild and do usually whatever they want at the cost of not having any back-up or insight into the shit they get into from the guild.

For those emotional scenes, I admit that I wasn't all that connected to Ada and Esta and their reunion. Nothing wrong with the characters but the Cthalpi Arc wasn't my favorite, I admit that. So, the women on the island and their views on the world outside of their home sorta tuned me out of them. Even when Aizen helped them branch out. Elsa and Jaecar getting together FINALLY happened! The freaking sexual tension was palpable but at least they can settle it in the bedroom, XD.I wonder how this might adjust their relationship with each other. Speaking of relationship, I mean...well, Alvis and Arisuke. Now THAT there is true tension. Hmmm...so Alvis feels the subconscious feelings of Arisuke's late boyfriend and they're slightly bleeding into him? Now if that's not a 'mood' I don't know what is. Must suck to feel attracted to someone and you're not even sure if they're you're emotions or the being who's powers you control.

A tame chapter but these kinds of reads are what's needed to progress farther.

Well it's been a little while, so let's hop in and get into it.

Building upon from what was mentioned last chapter, "Kana" played that stupid War Troll like a fiddle. Though I have to admit, the fact that he was decked out in a full panoply of gear created from [Wild Magic] is scary in of itself. I'll be interested in seeing what he's capable of later. Just glad that he didn't needlessly kill anything this time. As for the Espada, the finally arrived in the Roble Holy Kingdom to get their plans started. Which, after "drafting" the Sea Dragon from last chapter, might seem a little mundane by comparison. At least until more info was revealed. And speaking of revelations, Countess Ada once again came into the picture, and this time received a shock in Cthalpi! Wow. To think there would be a double homecoming for them both. Although the end of it was rather bittersweet.

So! We got some surprises after the scene switched back to Aizen and the Espada. Hilma getting an "upgrade" for one. Heh. I'm looking forward to seeing how THAT works out. Not to mention the reveal that Aizen will begin his world domination plans with the Roble Holy Kingdom (RHK). Also a bit ironic in a way. I'll be looking forward to seeing how THAT pans out. Oh! Another surprise was the fact that the Espada seemed to have been hired to escort the Workers to Nazarick! Huh, I wonder if they'll replace the gold-ranked adventurers that accompanied "Momon"? I guess we'll have to wait and see. It'll be interesting to see how much of vol.7's events will be altered, given how things are progressing.

Last half of the chapter gave us some drama between a couple Espada members that was hinted at way back when Rigrit visited Rylen. Though I'm glad that those shenanigans were settled. The Yasei no Kari made a small comeback in the form of training the 10th-Espada and ironing out those weird issues. Plus the fact that the mod-soul duplicate of Rukia is (possibly) getting married to the Emperor of that southern Japanese-style nation! Yay! Here's to hoping that gets shown. Yeeesh. Between the Dragon Kingdom, Beastman Country, and Kokka no Shinku-Kokai, and their plans in the RHK, Aizen's already WAY ahead of the curve in his plans. ;)

All in all, an entertaining chapter that had a little bit of everything. Except action of course, but you don't need action to keep things interesting. Given that, this one gets a SOLID 8.5/10. :)
