Is there a chapter missing, when did korra and swami agreed to be girlfriends?

Another thing, I actually find myself wondering (for the first time perhaps ever), why this is actually a Korrasami fic. I usually pretty much exclusively ship them together (although I'll take Opal with either of them if I can get it), but in this fic it feels far more natural to end up Korvira. And I usually HATE Kuvira, so my endorsing that means a lot.

This has been a fantastic story, but I do wonder if you were drunk or really tired while writing this chapter specifically. It's a little rambling, and jumps around a lot. Also very fast paced. Not much like the rest of the story has been

Nice, nice, nice, nice!great chapter in a great story! You already know, I do love the whole story. Great development in characters and the storyline sticks together. The sneak peak for book two just left me with more questions that I can’t wait to get the answers to.

Hey, great fic! I admire how quickly you’re putting out chapters and also how the plot of this fic is not cliched compared to other fics. I especially enjoy the love triangle with Korra, Kuvira and Asami. Your prose flows really well and I like the pacing of your work.

I just sat down to read the whole fic and I have to say that I was really impressed by chapter 17 in particular, with the flashbacks and shifting perspective telling a story of a very important character development. Hats off to you.

I think your prose is very crisp and measured- I like that about your writing, although it had the occasional effect that I would miss an important development when it came through implication or metaphor. That wasn’t a major issue or anything, and I think mostly I’m just a clumsy reader.

In regards to your character writing, this fic is very Korra centric, and I love it. You’re exploring a Korra who is mature in different ways from the canon Korra and it is delightful. More independent and level headed, but less trustful or self-caring.

I do find Korra slightly inconsistent, in that her motivations have shifted a lot during the story - this is a good thing because characters grow and change, but I wish more attention was drawn to the act of changing - for example I felt an important change happen when Korra decided to go to Tenzin - it represented a necessary change for her to overcome her obstacles (that is, her change from “I work alone and do things my way” to “maybe I can trust people who I’ve disagreed with” in the most excellent chapter 17)

I guess I felt her change to a self-defeating level of self sacrifice (in the recent chapters, 28-32) as less organic - her nigh suicidal defeatism feels jarring, and it seemed to start around the attack on Air Temple Island, but I guess I don’t know why or when her character underwent this change- it would have made sense if it was a result of taking her bending away or perhaps from seeing the destruction from the equalists- but i think it sort of just set in at some point, without a clear transition. I recommend setting up these developments more strongly so that their payoffs and consequences feel more organic.

I guess my suggestion overall is to give plot and character developments more attention in the story. You make wonderful prose once you’re at a scene but sometimes getting to the scene is a bit rocky or leaves some things unsaid.

Anyway, I loved the fic and I’m on the edge of my seat for the next chapter. Will Korra get her bending back? Will she and Asami finally make up? Will Korra get over herself and start being there for the world and the people she loves? Best of luck writing - ciao

Damn this story is good. I am impressed with how detailed, sometimes funny it is, and how emotional it is. I won't lie I haven't watched the entirety of the Legend of Korra just bits and pieces.

That went differently then I expected

i would appriciate an interlude from end of book one and book two as seperate story.
although i am still hoping to find out why asami would be part of equalist despite being saved and entering relationship with an bender it makes no sense why someone would join/stay with an organisation of hatred whilest having care? genuine feelings? for an bender especially after finding out your girlfriend who you know is a bender happens to be the avatar. more confusing is korra's willingness to trust asami despite being so deeply betrayed.
