Well at least now he has a better excuse to why he is not good at what he is doing beside the fact he is to years behind he could simply say the school at which he went wasn't the best or he just makes so many mistakes because he is very stressed due to going to Beacon too soon.

Ruby already made an excuse when it comes to aura and beside that she won't think any less of him not being at her level considering that she was trained by Qrow and without her weapon she is just a bit better then a civilian at fighting.

If only he was a better liar he could make everything work in his favor.

LOVE THIS! 3 Do you know how hard it is to find a good Jaune/Ruby story that doesn't involve a harem? Tis hard, I'm glad I found this. Can't wait for more chapters

I hope you will continue this because I really like this idea and I would be sad if it just stopped. I hope to see more!

While I love this story so far, I feel that making Team RNJR the main team instead of allowing each Jaune and Ruby to be the leaders of their own teams takes quite a bit away from the story. Both Ruby and Jaune are main character arch types so placing one in a position over the other takes away from the clear and quite entertaining contrast that happens between them. Don't get me wrong I would love to read a story where Team RNJR is formed during initiation, but I don't think this setting would suit it.

I just love the contrast between Ruby jumping on board with Jaune desperately praying to get off.
Is there any other difference between this Jaune and Cannon Jaune, because I get the impression that your Jaune is a little more intelligent than Cannon Jaune, because it was probably a smarter/safer decision for Jaune to sneak into Signal rather than Beacon and is well aware of that.
I do hope you continue this story.
