I'm not sure why I've enjoyed these 2 stories so much, but I did - and I read them twice in a row!
Now I daydream little side stories like when they take Teddy to see Stone Landing and Sophia sees her home for the first time again...

Hi! I'm rereading this story for the 5th or 6th time, and yesterday I almost sent you a comment saying that if you do continue with this story in a new story following the girls Season, we should definitely have Mr. Colton back... You never mention his age, but I pictured him in his mid to late 30s. It would be great if he came back during their season as a useful connection (cousin to an Earl or something) that they befriended without knowledge of his status during his stay at Rosings, plus he could be another protector for the girls and maybe love interest for another governess. Bonus points for setdown of rakes after the girls dowries! Anyway, this is my way of telling you I do really hope you continue this story eventually, cause it is one of my favorites!

This is truly one of the best stories I have read. It felt fleshed out. The characters were great. I love when the side characters are the main wsespecislly to see lydia and kitty grow instead of being flighty

the way this chapter is written i can almost feel the frisson of excitement and the varying emotions. Bravo! But i do have a question: Richard is Georgie's guardian too. why not give her an estate as well? I know she has her 30K but that is from her parents, why shouldn't Richard add to hers as well?

I very strongly suspect that Anne isn’t wellpossibly even dying, as she did seem quite frail canonically. It would explain Lady Cat’s about-face on all of it, except my brain just went somewhere elsethat maybe Anne has been offered, by Matlock, as a replacement for Georgie!? That would be utterly horriblepoor AnneI would rather she be dying!
