This is so cute. And my heart was melting the whole time. All of Ace's firsts were so wonderful I couldn't stop smiling. And then The punkin patch part where Ace gave a hug to every little one I almost died. Tha k you so much for writing this adorableness!

awwww this is the most adorable thing ever! tiny baby Ace thinking he's actually saying an actual word and Marco being defeated (both by the absurdity of his son's first word technically not being a word and by the overwhelming adorableness of it), awwww, I honestly have no words for how incredibly cute this is, it makes me so happy!
(also, I'm totally gonna try to do this to my cousin's baby. she was born like almost two months ago now, and I don't see her anywhere near often enough for it to work, but I'm still gonna try it because I'm a bad person lol)

Tbh the first time I read "furry" I was horrified (why would Marco and Thatch let a f...lippin' FURRY of all people near their son) until I realised it would be Stefan lmao
overall super cute, I love tiny baby Ace being mad at his dads! and they're so heartbroken over it, aww I feel bad for them
(also, I'd probably die laughing if Ace's first word was yoi. a swear would be hilarious too but come on, it's YOI lol Marco says it waaaay too often not to rub off on Ace... but it's your story so I'll be happy with whatever you choose as his first word! just my two cents, because I love the idea, but don't let that influence you! do what you think is best!)

grandpa Whitebeard! the reaction is spot on! and I love how at the end he's all (there isn't an actual english word for it, there's only schadenfreude (or, in my mother-tongue, škodoradosť - both of which mean to laugh at somebody else's misfortune), but this definition sounds too harsh for what I'm trying to express by the word (which in itself, or at least škodoradosť, can have several degrees - from simple laughing when your best friend trips to full on being happy about someone's house burning down), so I'm using it in the sense of "Pops has gone through this already with all its ups and downs, and now he's, while excited that he has a grandson, slightly looking forward to watching his sons flail while they go through this all themselves") looking on with schadenfreude like yep, this is gonna be fun!
(sorry, that explanation got a bit out of hand... well, back to the review)

...I should probably buy a lottery ticket today. A little after midnight I find this great story I had been waiting for for years (almost no one writes Marco/Thatch which is just sad... and when they do it's usually angsty), I immediately fall in love, then resign myself to having to wait for updates for some time. An unreasonable amount of time later I go to sleep; I wake up, check my emails and the second chapter is out?! What is this sorcery?!
Seriously (gender-neutral-although-probably-female-identifying-judging-by-the-names-we-are-supposed-to-call-you) pal, I absolutely love you. Words can't describe how happy I am at this moment, I love this story, I love the way it's written (like the fact that they actually have to go through the whole reporting a found baby and subsequent official adoption process? usually people just keep the baby in fanfics (which is a crime...)! and the reactions are in character (or at least what we know of their characters) and there is actual progress! as in, in thought processes - the first reaction isn't immediately "let's adopt him", there is actual developement!) and (of course) I love you! keep being awesome (which basically translates to "you do you", since you already are awesome no matter what you do (unless you like make Ace die shortly after they adopt him which makes Thatch kill himself and Marco takes up drugs... an oddly specific example, I know, but I think you get the point))!
