Sad to see that this is still on hiatus. You write action scenes extremely well and the whole situation is extremely interesting. Master Chief is still a badass, but he's limited by old technology and the fact that he doesn't have the supernatural ninja abilities of the Tenno. His understandable confusion and position as an outsider in the thoroughly weird-yet-familiar world of Warframe is wonderfully done, even if he hasn't had much time to appreciate it yet.

Add to that, your portrayal of Aras is absolutely perfect. Getting the Tenno right is a challenge and a half, considering they're a) practically teenagers in body, if not mind; b) traumatised by the events of the Zariman Ten-Zero; c) rigorously trained in the martial and philosophical schools of the Tenno; d) child soldiers, veterans of a war every bit as apocalyptic as the Human-Covenant War; and e) amnesiacs. I somehow get the feeling that once John gets to know who and what the Tenno really are, he might feel a strange sense of kinship with the Operators.

I really hope the hiatus is still meant to be temporary. I did notice your other story has been updated very recently, so that gives me hope you haven't just burned out or anything. I can't wait to see more of this!

It's not really an ocean just SOL. It'd be more to say he's a big fish that into a land river of Suchominus giga crocodiles and dinosaurs, and needs to grow bigger to compete. But John is a fucking ninja fish with heat vision, he'll pull through.

with the rise in popularity that halo is getting now could you release a new chapter?

Found this entirely on accident, and hoooooo BOY, I am PLEASED.
So very often, crossovers with Halo tend to lean towards two things- Either a Spartan popping up and kicking so much ass their boots turn brown, or a Spartan put into a scenario or situation that makes them useless and they are forced to learn something not fighting to get along.

I love how this so far has been very much John's wheelhouse, but so far beyond him in power that he's entirely out of his depth. It makes it so that he's not totally useless and out of sorts, but also allows the Tenno to be the badass space ninja robots they're meant to be. It's honestly impressive to me how well this is balanced, and the fact that they both STILL failed?!

I love it when the battle is truly shown to be as tough as it is, it's no fun to just blow throw a battle and be like "woo so tough a breeze". I mean, yeah, Chief and Co are peerless warriors, but numbers matter and even Tenno can and will get overwhelmed.

I'm so looking forward to seeing what else you have in store for this, this is so much fun!

Interesting story so far, I do hope you continue it as Warframe needs all the fanfiction it can get at this point. Honestly I find it surprising that the UNSCs weapons work as well as they do on the grineer, their armour is a pain in the ass for Tenno, can't imagine how bullet spongey they would be to millenia old guns. Still we'll chalk it up to it being mars and the chief going for mainly headshots.

On another note are you planning on letting Master Chief become a Tenno and explain it away with spartan augments being able to withstand the Void? Because other then that I can't really imagine where the story would progress.

That's the question isn't it; agents tend to be baseline human but they're still Origin system human(ie. modified to an insane degree; 105 is considered almost a teenager(Darvo Bek), and 600 is approaching middle aged(Frohd Bek) Chief should be on the same level as a syndicate agent with a highly diverse knowledge base.

I can't wait for the next chapter, and Chief kicking Sargas' butt!

The first story in years that has earned a favourite, well done. I'm really interested in where this could go. With my recent found love of Warframe this scratched an itch I didn't know I had. I main Valkyr (whom I loving call Valkitty, not sure why though) and I love how she plays.

It's quite surprising how well Halo and Warframe mesh. A lot of Halo lore can easily flow into Warframe lore. For example, Smart AIs are basically cephalons, both originally being mortal minds. You could even say the Spartan program was an inspiration for what became the warframes. Heck, the Orokin are essentially humans fucking up the same way the Forerunners did.

When Cortana meats Ordis she is going to think he's going rampant. That is going to be fun.

I enjoy this story very much, however on a reread I caught something that you might want to address. You have the Operator refer to Ordis as an AI. This is incorrect, as cephalons are pointedly *not* AIs. They're mind-uploaded humans. Just replacing "AI" with "cephalon" would be a good fix.
