Well this bites...

Not much of a change, I was hoping Ichigo would be more OP with something called the strongest Zanpakto. Oh well will keep reading and hope he is stronger.

Not really any change and he seems just as weak as the original.

So do you intend for Haki to be something anyone could learn in this universe, or will it be part of his Zanpakuto powers? In the original Ichigo never seemed to show any special powers unique to himself outside of Getsuga Tensho, and that was really just releasing his energy in the form of a slash, which I’m guessing most Soul Reapers could probably do with enough time and training, seeing as both Renji and Rukia were able to do something similar by gathering their energy in the form of a ball (presumably with the intention of throwing it at people) before they had ever received any training or guidance. Originally I thought that maybe the whole idea of Ichigo’s zanpakuto’s powers was condensing and focusing his enormous spiritual pressure, which made sense to me given how his sword goes from and massive meat cleaver to a much smaller sword, and as his sword got smaller, he became stronger and faster. Though in the long run, I suppose the canon explanation would be that Ichigo powers back then was just the Quincy part of his soul trying to emulate the powers of a Soul Reaper, and since Quincy don’t have an unique powers (putting aside the existence of Schrifts). It’d be interesting if Haki was just a part of Ichigo’s Zanpakuto, kinda like Shunsui’s games, though that’d make me wonder what you would do for Ichigo’s bankai, even ignoring what the thing would look like, maybe in Shikai Ichigo could only use Observation and Armament, and in Bankai maybe he could gain Conquerors Haki, along with the ability to use the other two to a much greater degree.

I’m trying to think of who from one piece could fill White’s role, but i can’t really think of any one who would be a good fit, the closest I could think of would be Zoro, but I don’t feel he could take whites role the same way Mihawk can take Black Zangetsu’s, their personalities differ in more ways then they align, and Zoro never seems to show that little bit of insanity White tends to have.

You could have him awakening the observation haki during his final fight with Ulqiora. And the Harment haki during his training with the Vizard. The king's haki would be nice if he started to awaken it during his final fight with Aizen. I hope this helps a bit.
