If your intention was to express yourself and get out some much needed mental health awareness then you certainly met your mark. It was a difficult read for me as I can relate to those who have mental health issues in their family. I can't say I appreciated Bella's seemingly oblivious reactions and actions surrounding her husband's illness. The chapter that had her described as all sex kitten in the mist of Edward's spiraling out of control didn't sit well with me, but I'm assuming it was to show how people deal with difficult issues in their own way. I wish you all the best with your journey both as a writer and that of one who knows this topic personally. Thank you for sharing.

Aren't they lucky to have a trusted and wise father like Carlisle. If only there were more men like him, and more families like Edward has, somewhere to turn when things like this happen who can at least be supportive. So poor Carlisle must think Edward is dead when Bella says "he's gone"

What guilt Bella must live with too. On one hand she doesn't want him to leave because she loves him and willing to deal with his issues but on the other she doesn't deserve to be treated like a yo-you either. No wrong way to feel or act in this situation.

Ah Edward. You took the easy way out. Yes to walk away sounds so loving but I'm thinking there might have been a better way to solve this then to leave her. But I get his intentions.

I wish the chapters were longer. Just when the scene gets intense I have to get out of the story and review/turn the page. (not a negative comment, just my feelings of wanting more) Because we think we know what's in that note and wow, how do you do that to someone you love right? And I'm thinking Edward is trying to make his case to Bella...and thinks she'd be better off without him...

Yup, Bella is feeling so much love for Edward and add lots of frustration too because she sees the world one way and Edward's perceptions are tinged with his depression and struggles.

And the "normal" one gets the knife in the heart when they think they've caused the "sick" one to feel bad. He doesn't know it or maybe he does but right there he manipulated her by pulling away and saying he's tired and pushing away for his own self preservation to not deal...And Bella, I'm thinking is in a hard place. She doesn't want to make Edward's world even more difficult but she's got needs too. Big sigh, it's hard in the best of circumstances in a marriage then throw in mental illness and yeah...hard.

Not fair to bring up the topic of kids in the middle of sex. But Edward has to know that condoms alone aren't going to guarentee that he doesn't get her pregnant. So I wonder what Edward and Bella's life is like when he's not "doing good" the other months.

Well I see that Edward and Bella are on the same page in regard to their sexual needs. Bella, cooking in only Edward's shirt is for sure a lure for them both. Good to know Edward was able to succeed with his work goals. He sounds very successful and a loving husband too.

I agree with you, this subject matter isn't one to take lightly and I respect your reason to use this topic to enlighten people to the struggles of those who have mental illness in their lives. I respect Edward's wishes not to have children too. Of course there's Bella's wishes as well. Even couples who don't have mental illness as the reason not to at first not want children and agree and then when life changes your wants and needs it's a topic that needs to be readdressed. I'm curious how this will go for these two.

Oh my, this subject matter is going to be a tough one to read and yet I'm going to read it, and feel it because mental illness is something that shouldn't be hidden or not discussed because it's so heavy. It's like any disease and needs to be out in the open. And those that suffer from it and those touched by it is real and impacts many.
Edward's side of this baby discussion should be heard, not that there's a right or wrong between Bella and he in this matter. Tough choice for sure. I hope they both listen to each other about their needs.
