Harry Potter and Draco/Panay got me into fanfiction when I was in my early teens. Of course, I thought yours were some of the best for this pairing. I’ve left multiple reviews over your fics and have kept checking on this one over the years. I remember when there were only eight chapters on this...! I re-read this again recently and I am so in love with your character, Dean Thomas. Funny how priorities change as you get older! He’s so kind, patient, and caring. Draco does treat Pansy awfully and I’m excited to see her grow a back bone. A coming of age story. I like how the romance symbolizes and illustrates expectations, paths set in life, and choices in life. Draco is intertwined with Pansy’s death eater “career” that has been paved for her by adults in her life, but this path, like the death eater ideologies, has been full of lies to steer her straight. But it’s hard for her to break away from it when it’s as expected of her as her marriage to Draco. I like how Pansy is sort of starting to doubt her feelings on Draco and this path, whether she really loved him of her own accord or she feels this strongly because she’s been indictrinated. And Draco’s in the exact same boat. Narcissa does offer some insight that they both chose each other, in a way, with young Draco crying whenever Pansy left. I really like Dean’s gamble and initiative, and I’m really curious to read how that would play out. I don’t know what the ending will be for this fic, but I hope we get to read it in the near future.

I am not sure as your last update was in 2012 ... but well just to tell you that I've never been a fan of Draco/pansy stories, but I really love your fiction. It's well written, the plot is great, well it's really good. So I really hope once to read the end of your fiction and of course to see Pansy with Draco (even id Dean is kind of cute). At this rate I need to rrally rack my brain for my fn password bc I really need to log into my account. Have I mentioned that I really like Pansy and her mental notes? She can be so hilarious sometimes. She has such an interesting dynamic with those around her; it's one that I don't see often bc I suppose antagonistic and confrontational friend/relationships take a bit more effort to integrate into a story. It certainly brings a new perspective to the table.

I came here from reading an entirely different fic of yours, but I like your writing and I like the Harry Potter series enough to give this story a read. I'm glad I did bc it really grew on me. Pansy Parkinson was one of those side characters that I never really gave a second thought compared to Draco Malfoy, and I'm kind of happy to see someone characterize her in a non-cliché way. It's a fresh perspective on a girl's POV. She is by no means a paragon of virtue nor is she an evil hellwitch. She's a blend of the two. Idk I like that she has her vain qualities among her more likable traits. The fact that she likes to paint is a nice surprise. And plus, I empathize with anyone with unrequited love so there's that. Lovely story so far.

So I'm here again. And hey, I know how fast time can just fly by just for how long it took me to write out this review. Long enough for my phone to be replaced. The previous one is where I'd typed out my initial reactions where I was like holy shit! And I can't believe this twist and my heart is still a little bit in my throat for Dean's gamble. I've been reading this story throughout the years (aaand your other ones too- one of the best Draco/Pansy out there that I even recognized right away when someone would plagiarize your story haha). I hope I get to read the resolution to this story someday at last. Hope all is well with you!
