This is so beautiful yet heartbreaking at the same time. Can't thank you enough for creating this masterpiece whether you'll come back to finish it or not.
Annabelle Redcliffe chapter 4 . 3/19/2019
It seems to me that Ino has the worst reaction to the death of Sakura. When, you want to scream, but you can't and you'd better scream and cry than look at one point for hours and not move.
UglyTruth chapter 6 . 3/9/2019
Everything about this is so heartbreaking and raw and straight up amazing - even if it's an emotional struggle to read. That mini twist about Sakura "choosing" to go, that really adds another layer to all this. You bring the family dynamic to life so vividly, I'm so curious to see where this goes... I feel the Naturo - Sasuke interaction has high stakes already. Thanks for sharing this!

bambi-reeds chapter 6 . 8/9/2018
Dude! What! I've been crying for six chapters straight and then that last chapter is left on such a cliff hanger...what a crime against humanity lol. Jk but I knew what I was getting myself into when the summary said this was on hiatus but it didn't stop me from becoming so helplessly enthralled in this story, you depict Sasuke's grief so beautifully it's unsettling in its tragedy. Each character is shown to be dealing with Sakura's death differently, i like how you show how they our portrayed outwardly but then also delve into what is going on in their minds, the small flashbacks of conversations and scenes involving Sakura are an especially poignant touch.
Your characterization of Kizashi is one of my favorites in this story, I appreciate the background you've given him since so little is known about him, it's refreshing to see that even though he is usually depicted to be very jovial that he's had his fair share of heartache. His interactions with Sasuke, in this chapter in particular, were so heartbreaking, to imagine a father attempting to comfort his daughter's widow was...so...sad omfg. Ino as well, I've read a couple of your stories and one of my favorite things about your writing is the emphasis on sisterhood and female friendships. Ino's behavior in light of Sakura's death is so realistic in its portrayal and feels so personal for some reason, her longing to be called 'Ino-pig' was a nice bittersweet touch.
And NARUTO! First, i like how Hinata is angry about Naruto's speech and not just silently supportive of her husband and how she has a realistic response to that event while she herself is struggling with grief but it's given a different dimension. It'll be interesting to see Sasuke and Naruto's interaction once Sasuke fully realizes what was said at the funeral, something a lot of the characters have been foreshadowing.
The plot twist of the early complications in Sakura's pregnancy and her knowledge of it was a surprising factor to the whole tragedy, really giving the whole story another layer of complexity that everyone has to deal with in different ways. Sasuke's feelings of resentment towards Kaito that he forces himself to suppress seem very in character for him and would probably be a natural response to what he learned. I hope someone tells Sarada, personally, I feel like she'd be upset but also she'd realize how much love her mother had for her unborn baby and in turn also for Sarada. Sarada is probably the most complex character in this story imo, she's simultaneously dealing with her mother's death (who raised her by herself for the first 12 yrs of her life), her newborn baby brother, and her father's all consuming grief. You haven't mentioned it yet, but I wonder if Sakura's death had activated her mangekyou or not, that would definitely add more to her plate. Some of my favorite scenes are Sarada seeing parts of her father that she's never seen before. The bathroom scene and her seeing her father look so unhinged was difficult to read in its honesty, since there's so little that she knows about him.
All in all, this was an amazing read! I would love if you continued this but it's fully understandable if you don't since you have other stories you've been working on and life gets in the way, inspiration comes and goes. Thanks for writing this, it was equal parts beauty and pain and it's rare to find stories that make you feel so much. Will definitely read more of your work :)
