The way I see it, what Talia did is sort of like something done in Chess from time to time. You need to sacrifice a pawn (Rochev) in order to get ahold of one of your opponents more powerful pieces (Merlin).

It helps that you gave them actual chemistry and made Iris significantly more like able in my opinion. Good luck with future additions.

Given the reveal of the multiverse to the whole world and the *reality* of Malcolm's death, I'm concerned for what could happen to the current President of Earth 2- such a position on such an Earth would have a number of uses, especially to one with Malcolm's capabilities in manipulation.
