Absolutely beautiful story, this is the kind of fic i wish could be found more often between duelists and their duel monsters. This story is the first one I've found so far that has successfully portrayed the special partnership I see in the anime and manga. Excellent work, may you continue to write so well! 8D

What about the others? Joey, Tristan, Tea and Bakura? Can any of them see Mahaad for what he is, or would they just see The Dark Magician? When me and my sister role play, we let Joey see Duel Spirits. Can Joey see anything out of the ordinary? He and Red-eyes Black Dragon seem very close.

Loved it! I read this originally when it was just once chapter, but I had to come back for the second! Yugi's reactions to Mahaad were spot on, and I loved his uncertainty of whether he could "live up" to Atem.

This was an adorable and interesting read! I love how you unfolded the information slowly over the course of the one-shot in a very natural conversation between the two of them. The ending was positively adorable - and honestly, Seto's demand that Mahaad not talk about Kisara was touching and sweet to me. Great fic!

This was fun. I like seeing that playful side of Mahad that you don’t see in the series. It would be fun to read a companion piece from Yugi’s perspective.
