At last! Is it going to happen? You have got me dying to read the next episode, as if I wasn’t already. Great!

So I'm all caught up with the sequels of California Dreamin now and I'm not sure if I'll read California Dreamin tbh. I like the premise of your stories, the "friends or more?" thing, but while I like it as a premise in general, I don't like it as a premise for a Harry/Ginny story. Your Harry and Ginny don't feel like the Harry and Ginny I know and love to me, which is mainly because you wrote all of the prequels to California Dreamin in 2004, so they're based on JK's not yet fully developed characters in OoTP instead of on the Harry and Ginny that JK would further develop in HBP and DH. I've talked about this on Discord with you just now but I just feel like Matthew was Ginny's one true love/love of her life in this universe and Harry is just someone she settles for bc Matthew isn't an option any longer. It also seems like Harry loves his job as an Auror more than Ginny and Ginny has conditions on her love for Harry (when it should really be unconditional) in that she only loves him when he's not an Auror. It also seems like Harry (at the very least) loves Ginny a whole lot more than she loves him in this and Ginny likes him and enjoys sex with him and therefore "decides" she loves him somewhere along the way while she actually really loved Matthew without conditions and without having to think about it. I think I'm being redundant here at this point so all in all: your writing style is great, your Harry and Ginny don't feel like the Harry and Ginny I know and love from JK's books to me because this was written based on their characterization and relationship in OoTP and Ginny seems to settle for Harry in this because her true love broke up with her while Harry seems to actually love ginny but prioritizes his job... I'd be really interested in seeing you write a story (or a few) based on Harry and Ginny's development/characterization/relationship in DH and am sure I would enjoy it very much, as I enjoyed The Weight of Love immensely, which seems to be your only (?) story that's not in the reconnecting universe... I guess there's a reason why I tend to avoid vics that where published before DH (or at the very least HBP)

I was a wee bit surprised that Ginny didn't date someone because she was tired of waiting for Harry and wanted to move on in 'More Than This'.

Harry's just 26 years old? To be honest, I was already wondering how old Ginny and Harry were at this point. My best guess was that they're almost forty because Teddy (born in 1998) is already attending the Auror Academy for a few years (Unexpected Deliveries).

So, Harry is quitting his job, or better, he has to quit his job because of his bad eyesight. He's a bit of a jerk, that it needed his bad eyesight and losing his job to give Ginny finally a higher priority in his life, isn't he?
