It’s nice to see another fanfic by you, dude! This was a nice little piece, even if it’s light on plot. I think it might have helped to include a bit more lore about Sucy, like show how she’s always been with Akko as you alluded to; that could make for a sad, but interesting one-sided relationship with Sucy. It could also flesh her out more as a character; since Sucy is such an enigma in this story, she doesn’t have as much of the charm of the canon Sucy.

But, for what we got in this death fic, I think it’s pretty effective in depicting Akko as a characters and the tragedy of her death. Well done, dude! And whenever you want to continue the discussion of the collaboration fic, you just let me know.

Anyway, although this was short, I liked the touch of sweetness this had. Hopefully Sucy will learn to be a bit more optimistic with Akko's help. It's also quite intriguing to see Sucy's life change like that so quickly. Was she a human who died, as well? Does she only guide Akko for a short time then leave, or does she become a companion of sorts? Also, I wonder what Akko has to be guided through. The ins and outs of her new "life", I suppose. So many mysteries!

Hm, the tone is off like you say, but I think it could work if polished up. After Sucy regales Akko about her exploits, changing the subject by visiting the garden seems like a natural direction for the plot to go. So overall, not a bad job. What did you have in mind for the next chapter of this story?

As for procrastination problems, I can fully agree. My main solution for that is to work on a bit of a story at a time, or better yet, work with someone. If there’s an outside pressure to write like a deadline, then a person will write more consistently.

I wasn't expecting a follow up to this story, so this was a really nice surprise! Very cute, too. Thanks again for writing!

Once again the "easy to tell when it's broken, harder to notice when it works as intended" syndrome steps in, as I utterly fail to say anything about the latest chapter due to how good it is. Gotta love the Dragon Sucy stuff.
On an unrelated note, I started working on a crossover fic between LWA and Darkest Dungeon, and I'm aiming to write something that's probably going to be as much of a large-scale fic as "A Rose in Winter" is. Horror/adventure genre, a bit of drama and action, and the tiniest bit of ship tease between Akko and Sucy just to make things a tad less grim...And to give some more reasons for drama, cuz why not. Now that I'm done with shameless self promotion...
Anyway, here's hoping for more one-shots for the collection, further Rose in Winter chapters, and for a fully-fledged "vampshit" series in the future. Cheers.
