Maybe if she'd get her head out of her ass for a few minutes he could explain that the akuma *was* talking to him the entire fight and Chat really wasn't being overly agitated for no reason.

I like that the reason mari turned against chat was Alya being hurt. Alya is mari's best friend and someone mari cares about dearly and while mari SHOULD have known was chat was sorry aand be angy at hawkmoth rather that chat because at the end of the day the akuma caused by hawkmoth was what caused Alya's death, even if ladybug trusted Chat to save Alya and he failed. and even before finding out he was Adren she should have realized that chat felt responsible and was hurting already from seeing Alya die, let alone having his partner openly blame and condemn him for it.

But that's not how emotions work at sometimes people lash out and wants others to blam, mai cant find hawkmoth and so cant immediately take her anger out on him, so it was easy to take her anger out on chat noir.

Though my bet in Alya had run into the akuma fight or been around there to get footage which resulted Alya being involved and available to be killed in the first place. and for Alya is disnt change much because Alya came back to life. and mari cant ip ito her because mari either isn't supposed to know o she is just so happy and emotional that Alya came back she decided to take her anger even more out on chat.
or maybe mari has thought, if having a partner cant even save my best fiend then what use is he? and pushed him away because of that.
Either way I think its interesting that Adrien understands her original source of anger and her lashing out over alya dying. after all Adrien probably felt responsible so he agree with her on that. but maybe mari kept going because part of her agreed with tikki and plagg. that she shouldn't have blamed him for that because they are partners and she knew he was trying his best. but because part of her regretted lasing out she felt defensive and doubled down on that anger so she wouldn't admit it. Which would explain why she looked for any reason to stay angry like believing he tabloids or made of stories of him flirting or flings(I totally bet there was a small bit of jealousy in there she is in denial about). and her pushing him away wasn't just mari lashing out but because she knew f he stayed she might eventually forgive him or feel guilty.

I also like mari getting very defensive and lashing out a little still. Even though she knows many of those jabs and wording he used here was due to mari's own original lashing out, and even the second time, so she balanced wanting to be angry but also knowing she kindof deserves some of that wording, even though it makes her feel guiltier by reminding her how she originally screwed up.

She also was confronted very harshy with her double standard toward Adrien and chat. we know Adrien always admired marinette a lot, he found civilian marinette talented, he complimented her a lot fom her gaming, reflexes, dancing, designing, baking skills. he was the one who asked her to dance, offered her a ride, offered his place so she would stay in the tournament. he was clearly impressed when she'd stand up to chloe or when she defended her authenticity of the hat she designed and he was allergic to. he told mari she was awesome, spent time making by hand a sentimental charm bracelet for her birthday that had a connection to the charm she gave him impulsively to make him feel better while videogame training. He defended marinette's character to kagami and riposte. complimented the santa hats she made him and mari being awesome. and he offered rides and aked for her autograoh before. let alone him tying to impress marinette while he was chat by flexing, barrel roles and flirting a little.
So you can really feel his disappointment before when it became apparent mari had fangirled about his Adrien half, especially the weight thing tipping him off. along with the contrast that mari treating Adrien like that compared to how she treated chat.

We might know mari's crush came from the right place and she over compensated from her nerves, and she has a point Adrien got a little dreamy eyed as well. but I think mai is also seeing the big difference in context. The fact if Chat being a little fanboyish is a little moe justified because he akso has powers so its clear the powers aren't wha attracted him. they are tusted partners, ladybug treats him normal and they got close due to working together so often. but the fact if he was crushing on someone who he ddnt know her name, and she may have had a good partnership with him but when you love someone you want to know about the person. and Adrien knows lots of the stuff about his lady on the ste was speculation but that was thee best way to see her consistently. and here was the real barrier of secret identities in the way.

wha makes mari's seem a little worse is because he was right infront of her, he admired her and he was available for her to befriend or talk to when ever she wanted, openly. But instead of just talking to him more she let her nerves get in the way so she over compensated finding facts through other means when she didn't have to.

I like mari trying to say she isn't the only one and Adrien saying he never said she was.
But I also really like mari getting more short tempered and irritated when he questioned their friend status in the first place. She wanted to be fogiven and for them to immediately be friends. but Adrien had some good points. while Adrien always considered mari a friend as a civilian, the new information about her fangirly methods does put some doubt, and even bigger because he know what she is like when she talks to him hen she is comfortable with his past dynamic with ladybug.

to contrast it makes the civilians seem less like friends. and while mari had a point that ladybug and chat were friends. he also had a point after one mistake, she might have had every right to feel mad and lash out. but she had said they were partners forever but she still dropped him and cut him out of her life so easily. and with how she had been treating chat all those months, yeah if they were friends it wasn't as strong as he thought.

I like mari get defensive saying he told her, she didn't need to apologize. but Adrien was smart that just because her fist reaction made sense, her continued treatment as well as her cutting him off so easily still hurt. mari herself even acknowledge she was especially wrong with her continuing to drag that out. even bringing the media and bad talking chat noir.

I like that Adrien still at least tried to be polite to mari after the revel of identities but mari was still the stubborn one not reaching out and lashing out still. mari was angry for a long time and fully realizing she fucked up, add he was her crush. Means of course mari would still be angry till she thought it though herself.
I also like the contrast between how Adrien and mari takes things. mari doesnt want to be sad or disappointed so she turns it into anger and because she isn't used to reaching out and doesn't like her plans not going perfectly. so Adrien not immediatly saying they can be friends would put a twist in her spandex.

Adrien does want this to be fixed and we know he is a lot more tolerant as he has done his duties to helped from the side lines or when she was distracted when she had cut him out which had resulted in the first chapter's reveal in the first place. So I like mari's shock and surprise Adrien had immediately agreed to working with her again to save paris...most likely because if she was in his shoes she'd at least hesitate and need a little more convincing(though we know she'd give in the end because mari is a hero). Its nice a nice hint that Adrien slowing down later when it comes to agreeing is important and big because he doesn't WANT to fight her on this. he probably spent months after her cutting him off the first time just wishing they could b friends or go back to normal again.

But I especially like Adrien pointing out mari isn't listening. after all tikki, plagg had told mari to think things over and pointed stuff out, she didn't listen to chat the first time orr his apologies and itt still took mari thinking by herself after finding out his identity a while befoe she sucked it up and went to Adrien to apologize. I like that mari does want to hold herself reponsable but she also wants this to be done and fixed. but its going to take time. they haven talked fo real for ages.
and Adren has a point they need to learn how to talk to eachother gan and work out their frusteration or btte feels that are still there before they start a friendship because if they don't that bitterness would just make they stop being friends again.
I like that he bought up her not listening and he tried to get out of there before it got worse and mai lashed out saying she didn't want to be fiends and her stubbornness no longer stopping her or putting a lag between her feeling regret and guilt.

and even if most of this issue was mari's fault for continuing to push him out and deliberately be mean to him it still will take two to fix this situation. and he does want it fixed. she isn't going to be mending this on her own. So I like that instead of lashing out or letting himself feel hurt and leaving he was the bigger man and made himself vulnerable and said he wants to be her friend. he cares about both mari and ladybug so much but crush aside he has always wanted to be friends with her. and saying that(while does make mari feel a little guiltier for her petty lashing out saying she didn't) made him both stronger and vulnerable because he isn't afraid to admit that. and it shocked mari into actually listening to him as her lashing out proved his point in the first place that they still need actually time to build into friendship and to heal. and she actualy acknowledge he had a point that they till cant talk easly still.
I also like that Adrien while we know does want to be friends isn't putting that pressure yet. mari wants reassurance friendship can still happen but adren knows if they cant meet that goal thinking that would only make them feel wose. so meeting the short term goal and hanging out and not getting angry should be first priority. I like that mari stil mostly blames herself for this but Adrien says he is part f this as well.
if tthey are going to fix this the blame game doesn't help. they need to deal ith their issues, ebond and move forward and one of them thinking they are entrly to blame wont help.
and I like mari mad another first move asking Adrien to what I'm guessing is patrol. which is a big thing when she was the one who refused chat's help in the first place.

The question now though is how is mari gong to explain things to Alya? and what are Alya's thoughts when it comes to ladybug and chat noir's behavior lately?

Alya notice the falling out and mari and Adrien not talking to each other really and Alya would obvious be suspicious at the lack of fangirl or crush talk. and Adrien thee sunshine boy while trying to act that normal and at least his normal polite got even that shut down pretty quickly because mari doesn't want to pretend like nothing is wrong when something is clearly wrong(which is good in hindsight as they didn't have to pretend they were okay). but something clearly happened.

Alya could automatically blame Adrien and be on mari's side but as a journalist she probably can sense something complicated. though alya isn't going to leave this with no explanation.

Will mari admit she confronted Adrien and snapped at him about one of the tabloids or something and said some nasty things? that wouldn't be a completely lie as she sort of did. Alya might know normally mai brushes those off as just lies but alya also knows mari has a strong imagination, jumps to conclusions is stubborn and has a strong jealous streak. if mari misunderstood something and thought the tabloid was true and then confronted Adrien about it impulsively it would explain the falling out. especially if mari admits and she lipped up and mentioned one of the stalky things she knows like his weight. and they got into a argument.
Adrien mght not be the happiest if she uses that explanation because he believs mot of her anger came understandably from him failing to save alya and this explanation puts most of the blame on mari.
but mari seems to realize that, while Adrien is willing to take responsibility for the things he did which didn't help, it doesn't change that all of this stuff was mari's decisions. and she is responsable for keeping it going for so long. and if mari hinted that part of it was Adrien's fault to Alya, alya being biased might blame Adrien. but by using one of the more esent things mari had used against chat with the tabloids it wouldn't be completely lying to Alya and it was one of the issues. it would get across why mari has stopped the posters or Adrien info gathering stuff like weight.
as well as Adrien and mari starting over on a newer slate. and if alya finds out Adrien found out about mari's feelings after the tabloud thing was mentuioned as well as the fangil sstuff, Alya could understand both hy Adrien didn't react well to finding out mari's feelings and doubted the sincerity considering he has lots of fangirls and he trusts mar. and Alya could undertand why mari was upe\set and lashed out on that specific thing because getting ones feelings found out is embarrassing, let alone in a bad situation.
and we know in the show while mari enjoys being Adrien's friend she gets a little caught up wanting him to like her back she got upset/down over hearing his talk with kagami. focusing that Adrien thinks off her as a grood friend, that the fact Adrien clearly admires and things very very highly of her marinette self and enjoying friendship with him. saying she doesn't want him to like her, she wants him to llliiiiiiikkkkkkeeeeee her.
once explained a little I think Alya could acknowledge the fangirling got a little far and Alya would be able to help mari and Adrien stating over as actually friends without mai's nerves in the way.

Though I really wonder how Alya has been feeling when it comes to ladybug and chat's rocky dynmic since Alya had died. Alya isn't stupid and ladybug wasn't subtle that, that was one of the tipping points between chat and ladybug. I wonder if chat visited Alya to check on her or apologized. after all Alya is Adrien's friend as well. and ladybug hasn't actually let up in public and hadn't realized chat was actually there to whole time o help in tight spots or get civilians out of the way. and this is really the first time they've made upish. chat had helped get ladybug home last time, and even if he has been hiding himself less in battles, the tone change from ladybug would seem jarring o out of nowhere to the news media.
I wonder has ladybug ever tlked to alya about it. has mari ever tried to find alyas opinion of ladybug blaming chat noir. alya might be a bigger fan of ladybug but being a large deciding facto is splitting up the team for so long could have interesting thoughts from alya.

though I'm glad they are just thinking of friendship ight now. romance is off the shelves for a while definitely even if they still care deep inside

This is just character bashing, and the character end up being OOC because of it. Why is there so much swearing in this? Marinette and Adrien I can sort of understand since they're teenagers, but there's no excuse for the kwamis.

The writing of this story is pretty good though. Just kind of sad that the characters in this aren't treated with much respect.

Yes. Yes he does. Why, you ask? if Ladybug rejects him, he may still need to fight with her, but I don't see that effecting their relationship as much as you portray it. I believe you said so yourself, he actually talks to her, thus creating a friendship, and a bond not so easily broken. His friendship and partnership with Ladybug wouldn't be over after something like that. Sure, maybe a bit awkward and bumpy, but I can see them working past it. For more reasons on why he totally DOES have the easy way out, actually listen to the arguments I wrapped in a neat little bow, just for you.

Also unlike him, she doesn't have the safeguard of a mask like Chat does. So, if Adrien rejects her there is no hiding behind anything. She already doesn't think she can talk to him, and they have no real relationship of any close kind, because of this.
So, they would never have a strong enough friendship to fall back on. SHE is the one that has to be pushed past HER comfort zone in order for them to have this.

Long story short, yes, Adrien does have the easy way out.

And yes, Marinette needs to work through her issues, and get her butt in gear, if she ever wants a chance with him.

1. his supposed "lack of fanboying"(which is what I assume you're talking about) is probably, because his civilian life is so strict. I really doubt that Gabriel would let Adrien talk so openly about a "love of his life" when that kind of talk could effect his business. In other words, when you are in any kind of business, the art of keeping a cool head, and keeping your mouth shut? That's Business 101. On that note, when Adrien's out of the mask, he is a lot less like himself(Chat Noir)thus he is naturally a bit shy and more reserved. It would be kinda out of character in and of it's self for him to be openly goo-goo ga-ga over her.

Lol just because he's more reserved, and less obvious about it doesn't absolve him of that.

And 2. ya know, you're kinda right, I wonder WHY he doesn't have as crazy a crush as Marinette has for him? I wonder WHY he can talk to Ladybug so naturally? It couldn't have ANYTHING to do with a certain mask could it? OH HOW I WISH SOME KIND SOUL COULD ANSW"when he turns into Chat he is allowed to be loud, rambunctious, charming, confident, just in general himself. Okay so, 1. the tag-line for this show, is that Marinette is "a normal girl with a normal life". It's also a cartoon who's target audience are kids...they are totally going to over exaggerate the ups and downs of being a teenage girl(with superpowers)for comic relief(I mean, just look at the opening title sequence for goodness sake).
2. Ladybug underneath the mask IS a normal girl with a normal life, so naturally, she'll ACT like one. Chat Noir, on the other hand, isn't a normal boy with a normal life. Quite the opposite, actually, which is why he doesn't project his infatuation with her nearly as much as she does him.

Now, about the whole"stole his phone"ordeal, I never said that she was perfect. I never claimed that she was blame-free, if that's what you're insinuating. I'm just saying that your "perfect little snowflake Adrien" isn't either.

Next is "Her computer screen is of his photos alone" and "she found them from the internet."
1. Like I said, kids cartoon, over exaggerated teenage drama, comic relief, and on top of that, he is a MODEL and she has a CRUSH on him. Now, mix that with everything said above and you'll have the perfect formula for 'crazy crush central'!
2. If you are planning to use the excuse "oh well then she only loves Adrien cause he's a model" it has been canon for a while now that this statement isn't true, and that she likes him for more than his looks.

That statement has, and always will be ridiculous. Marinette didn't fall in love with his looks, she fell in love with his heart. While I do believe they(the creators of the show)could've executed 'the umbrella scene' much better, it still doesn't change the fact that the moment Marinette fell in love with him was the same moment she truly SAW him. She looked right into the windows of his soul and BAM! Love.
You are probably going to overlook that though.

1. You see, this is where I just KNEW, you didn't actually read what was written. If you actually payed any attention at all, you would see that I already addressed this in my last review. Listen, if Marinette isn't your favorite, that's fine! There is such a great variety of characters to like in this show! I'm for that! If you feel a tad more sympathetic towards Adrien, I'm not going to say "you're WRONG!".
I just think that most(not ALL)of the hate that this fandom throws Marinette's way is in no way, at all justified.

It’s an interesting twist on the entire reveal scenario, but it is definitely OOC. I kinda feel like you went to the extremes with the fangirling and were kinda unfair towards Mari as Adrien is guilty of the same things. His reaction is more than hypocritical and makes me want to strangle him.

Okay, I know you may get angry with her character, and that's understandable, but like no. Mari would never say anything like that.

If you wanted to make this closer to form, I think her argument would be that Chat/Adrien does the exact same to her. Chat idolized Ladybug, very similarly to how Marinette idolized Adrien.
Or put more simply, they are both very guilty of "fangirling/fanboying" of the other, whether they're aware of it or not.

The only difference is, Marinette has no mask when interacting with Adrien, so her self assurance and self confidence fly out the window, and so does any chance of talking to him and actually having a close friendship with him.

Now see, with Adrien it's the other way around, when he turns into Chat he is allowed to be loud, rambunctious, charming, confident, just in general himself. Talking to his partner and getting to know her better as a person is easier for him. If that mask wasn't there, talking to her and getting closer to her wouldn't be so easy now would it? Heck, if that mask wasn't there, their problems would be nearly identical.

It kills me because, in a way, it's ADRIEN that gets an easy way out. I mean, he essentially gets the best of both worlds in that, he still gets the luxury to hide behind a mask.
Marinette doesn't HAVE that luxury, if she wants to even try to form a friendship with him, she has to go balls to the walls and be completely vulnerable. She is the one who has to sacrifice here.

I wish that more of the fandom recognized this instead of just "AWWWW POOR ADRIEN MUH SMOL BEEEAAN!" Or "OMG CHAT SOSMEXY". That's not me saying "DON'T FOCUS ON ANYONE BUT THE MAIN CHARACTER! but...but Nino's my favoYOUR NOT ALLLLLLOOOOOWWWWED!" no no no that isn't what I'm getting at.

What I'm saying is that you have a really good cast of characters, all with their individual strengths and faults,(some really awesome female power players at that)and which character does the fandom constantly talk about? Cat Boy...literally for no reason other than the fact that, next to our really cool superheroine, is a magical cat boy in a leather(but not leather) kink suit...sigh...s-see this is why we can't have nice things.

What gets me is that these are the same people who want a female empowerment show like Miraculous, we finally get it and of course THAT'S what they focus on.

Anyways, enough of my rant, imma just leave you with this. This is so out of character for everyone, it would make more sense if Marinette was having an akumatized fever dream or whatever. Peace I'm out.
