iStyx chapter 3 . 9/3
Hold on! Harry still wears glasses? Really? Like... really? Do you understand how ridiculous this is? He can't move eyes to cast a look aside, he has to move his head. He moves head too fast and glasses is out of his face. He takes punch to the face and automatically gets broken glass in his eyes. He can't be a hunter with glasses.

Well this was a much better start than most so I'm even more disappointed to see it abandoned. That being said thx for sharing!

Please more Story and continue this story between Harry, Weiss and Cinder of Love! Harry Potter Weiss. Schnee and Cinder Fall
CamTheThief chapter 3 . 6/5/2019
Well... fuck. I am really sad to see this seemingly abandoned. Harry’s characterization already has him as being competent without seemingly breaking the world, and that’s always a plus in crossover fics. The premise itself is super intriguing and already tied Harry to the greater plot events, which again, is a plus. Forced narratives never work out well.
Cinder so far... was honestly a joy. While I’m not sold on the “squib from earth” angle, her desire to never let herself be weak and subsequently wishing freedom from Salem is very believable. It’s not canon of course, and I certainly think you could tone down her moral musings - running with the angle that she wants out for her sake and her sake alone (for now) could prove to be fantastic. Even with her motivations aside, I loved her interactions with Harry. That sensuality and dominant persona is critical for Cinder, and you hit it quite well whilst not having her come across as over-bearing. Harry responding to that with his own aggression was just the icing on the cake.
The story was short, but a hell of a lot of fun. I hope to see it updated in the future. Cheers, mate!

MORE !

It would be awsome if he turned up like some kind of Merlin for Remnant you know bring and teach wonders of magic to his most faithful he can also have a kick start by absorbing fragment's power and memories in his scar Voldemort is said to be a prodigy imagine what he would learn and create just in this world he wont need a wand
Yami-Guy chapter 3 . 2/28/2019
Too bad its been almost a year since this was updated...it is a real diamond.
Hedlum chapter 3 . 10/8/2018
Really liking the story so far and what you're doing with the characters, Cinder especially.

While yes, your take of her is technically in the OOC territory, I find it fits quite snuggly with what little we have of her established character. It's completely understandable, even sympathetic, to have her be from a pureblood Dark family that abandoned her a child for being a squib. It gives reasoning to her thought pricess and decision making, such as joining with Salam despite Cinder seeming like the type of person that would despise serving another.

It also has Salam come across as more competent, having her being able to tell what kind of person Cinder is and putting safeguards in place to ensure her cooperation.

Bonus points to you if you manage a scene somewhere down the line where Cinder is alone with Harry's wand - I'm assuming he still has it - and she has a moment of weakness and waves it around, hoping to cast some sort of spell in an attempt to prove that her family was wrong and that it wasn't her fault for being abondoned. (Not that it would be either way but something like that would seriously mess with anyone's mind, especially as a child.)

All in all though, I'm greatly hoping you continue this story. I enjoyed "The Return of Magic" and I similarly enjoyed my reading of this.

Fucking love it so far, but hope that cinder is the only other from harrys world
Morgoslos chapter 3 . 6/14/2018
This parasite Grimm thing sure sounds a bit like a Crest Worm from the Fate series. Gross little dick-shaped magical parasitic familiars that burrow into your flesh via... any available orifice. They too act as a method of control in Fate. Though, in that case it's a gross, evil old centuries old man controlling a young teen girl.

Are you going to get into what Harry can do with the Philosopher's Stone at some point? Can he make the Elixir of Life, for example? Or turn metals into gold?

Besides how useful that would be on a personal level (presumably the Elixir can act like a panacea like in most stories and heal just about anything, and also extends the life span/restores youth/whatever, and of course gold is $$$), it would add a cool aesthetic to his fighting style. Ominous red glows from his weapon, smacking his cane against an enemy's weapon and turning it to gold (Gold is heavy, unless they're monstrously strong a RWBY weapon suddenly turning to gold in your hands means you're dropping it, or maybe harming yourself trying to catch it).

I'm also curious about the extent of Harry's magic. Can do charms, transfigure, etc.? Just what kind of magic did Ozpin teach him? What sort of wizard is that guy anything? Is he a "native" wizard to that world, or another transplant?

On that note, I hope you get into just how Cinder went from being a squib in Harry's world to being a seductress, power-stealing criminal on Remnant. It seems kind of like a large leap for one person to magically appear there, and the circumstances for that were already rather... unique. The more people you transfer from one world to other, the less believable it becomes. A squib dimension hopping, even by accident? A wizard heading up a Hunter school? Harry Potter falling through a mirror gone weird because of a unique, super magical mineral? One or two of these might be acceptable, three is pushing it.

Not that I'm complaining about Harry/Cinder/Weiss. That's a pretty nice pairing.

Also, these "Seasonal" powers being considered magic also makes me curious if you're giving them an alternate history as well. Is there even a canon explanation for them? I personally thought the entire concept was rather moronic and totally shifted the show in a different (and less interesting to me, despite my love for magic) direction. That's also about when I stopped watching the show, so my first-hand info is rather limited.
DalkonCledwin chapter 3 . 5/30/2018
Hmm… Cinder isn’t Delphini is she?
DalkonCledwin chapter 2 . 5/30/2018
You know… almost every fanfic that involves a Harry Potter crossover with RWBY seems to want to point out that specific similarity between those two women. I must say I find Glynda somewhat more appealing though.
DalkonCledwin chapter 1 . 5/29/2018
The title of the class is “Defense Against the Dark Arts.”
idkidc85 chapter 3 . 5/12/2018
Great premise, I haven't read anything Harry Potter in some time. Interested to see where this goes. I don't mind Cinder being OOC seeing as we don't really know much about her anyway.
